Is this game really worth it?
Hi, I've never played L4D2 yet, but I hear it's a great game. I looked it up, watched vids on it, andits also the #1 game on my wishlist. However, from a great number of friends, they said the game was good at first, then got quickly boring, or I got reviews saying the whole game was boring overall. Please convince me and either saving the money or buying the game.

Ehh, you just gotta try it, I really love it but trust me, oh trust me, when you first play it do Singleplayer first, the online comunitity is not forgiving. Most every online game I join has super serious "pros" that expect you to be just as good as they are, and if you screw up anything ever so slightly then you're kicked from the server.

Finding good buddies to play with is hard.

I have a few friends actually who are pretty nice who play L4D2, so I actually don't need any friends. I've played co-op games with them all the time, so I'm okay on friends. I just realized that too.

I used to play it like a mad person back on the Xbox then eventually moved onto the PC and got the second version. After a long while it did lose its touch because of repetitiveness. However, I just got back into it and discovered a couple mods and omg.... it brought the spark back and I love it again.

And yeah...multiplayer sucks for a lot of reasons.... play with friends or decent people other than trolls, whiny kids, "pros", rushers, no-helps. Then it can be a blast.

I play with AI most of the time, that's not horrible but it's not as fun as humans.
Playing with people you don't know can either be really fun, or really stupid.
You either get paired with good, decent players who just want to play the game and help teamates out, or with trolls / super serioues people who kick you at the slightest mistake.

If you don't have another game like it yes, if you already have a game like Killing Floor then probably not. It depends on preference, if the style of gameplay the game has is appealing to you then look at games that are similar to it and make your choice from that list.

While I agree, the game can get a bit repetitive, mainly just because its the same levels over and over, but custom campaings can help with that.

Correct, and because of the custom campaigns you DON'T have to play the same ones over and over. I have over 30 to choose from = not boring.

I think it's worth it, although mods are definitely a must after you beat all the default campaigns :D Although I'd wait until you can get it on sale...wintersale...*cough cough wink wink*

I got 4 copies of the game for only $14.99 during the black friday sales just so I could give one copy to a friend lol

Overall It's definitely worth it in my opinion, especially if you can get a good deal on it and it's tons of fun with friends! :D Good luck!

Don't worry, thats my top priority game for the winter sale. :steamwings:
