The L4D2 versus community.

This thread is to descuss the awfulness of the current L4D2 versus community.

From what i see, there are 4 types of people that play L4D2 versus.

Group 1: The super sereous hardcore players.

These people are the ones that expect exact perfect play from you, or you are votekicked.

Group 2: The Super-casuals/extreme newbs

These people make up a large portion of the L4D2 versus community. You know, the ones that do not communicate at all and waste a tank when a car is clearly there to incap all 4 survivors, insted they try to chace one guy.

Group 3: The griefers/trolls.

You know, the ones that jump off bridges and kill them selves when they are the tank

Group 4: The happy mediums(I am here)(EXTREMELY RARE)

These are the people that communicate with their team, without expecting godly play or votekick.

This is just a vent thread for me, so feel free to vent.

I am on group 1 3 out of 4 times.

Group 5: Server admins that make a versus server with some mods, but ARE SO FETTING STUPID THAT THEY TAG THEIR SERVER AS REALISM VS. Those admins should BURN in hell for all eternity and even worse... BANNED from internet.

The only saving grace in vs is realism vs and they have to taint it with their bs.

I tried. I really did try to be a good player back years ago. I tried to be the guy that played well overall in L4D 2. That was meet with arguements from other people. Then to outright griefing / trolling. I then decided to just play the game. If people rage quit?... fine let them. I just make fun of them. People grief? I shoot back in self - defense to incap or kill them. Then vote them out of the game. I just do the best I can & if that's not good enough for people... F them.

I fit into group 4. I really don't care if i lose or win as long i'm happy to meet new people that are nice ^.^

I forgot to mention, I'm a group 4. I like to play the game with my steam friends and get it done and not have tea parties with the infected. Then the group 1s kick me for a bad charge or a mistake.

Group 1 are the worst man. Sorry I don't know what the "Charger Fall of Death" set up means. Then get vote kicked because I ask. People, and I use that term loosely, like those in Group 1 are some of the worst to come across in all of video games. Arrogant, vocal, D-bags who take a tool of enjoyment way too far. But isn't that what games are for? A good time. I play games to have fun and try to do well, but if I miss a charge or whatever, who friggin cares, it's a game.

Group 6: People who make threads whining about VS mode.

On website I go to, there is a L4D2 server that they run. It's modded and only runs Realism VS. Full of Group 1s, and are hostile towards me in other topics, and I have not even played with them in over a year.

Basically, you just ignore them and find a new server.

I think out of the maybe 2 dozen versus games I've played, I've been kicked a dozen times because I didn't jockey or smoke someone long enough or missed a charge, 2 or 3 everyone's mostly just playing for fun and don't act like there's money bet on the score, and then all the other games are just filled with rage-quitters and people who seem to have stumbled into versus on accident. It's just not worth it anymore. You have to go in a pro or you'll get grief from the hardcore players. I suspect those hardcore players got good back when nobody had a stick up their butt if your spit only hit one person.

under 10hrs and join vs, ruin game then rage quit then go on to a new game to ruin that game also.

They join a server where someone has been patient with them earlier and now that someone realises their not gunna learn, that someone vote kicks them, the noob then comes to steam forums and whinges.

Because the people in this thread doesn't the define the whole Left 4 Dead 2 community as a whole.

Most people in this thread are also right, there are too much hardcore players who ruin it for the people who just want to have fun, without getting insulted to hell, or getting constantly kicked because they think they don't meet their "requirements".

What would be good would be if you can say "N00b Versus", "Normal Versus" or "Hardcode Versus" when hosting. I'd be playing in the "N00b Versus" until I thought I could move up a level.

If this is some indirect trolling to me, I have about 300+ hours into versus(mostly all of my play time) and about every other game I am kicked because I missed one charge or dident get everyone with the boomer or bla bla bla.

I can see kicking those annoying 5 year olds who dont know jack♥♥♥♥♥♥about versus and just bought it today, but me? I do communicate with my team, I do look out for death charge spots, I do atleast play half-decently. Just because I don't play picture perfectly it dosent mean I have to be kicked every single game.

Sorry for ranting here but I can't stand people that assume things about you without no proof.
