Crappy AI/People

Don't get me wrong,this game is AMAZING,but there is a huge problem:You can only play with friends.You can't play with random people,because you have no way to plan/talk,you cna't play with the Ai 'cause their stupid and heal themselves when the have 99 health.Please fix this Valve.

Well, to chat with anybody, you tap the voice chat button or press "Y" to type.

You can't exatly do that when your having tanks,spitters,hunters,and noraml infected thrown at you

Valve can't fix stupid, and if you are playing with people that can't even type "yes", "no".. then you either need to find a new game or get some patience.

Plenty of ways to plan, but stupid people gonna stupid. I don't know how many players ive ran into that play with no sound, or can't fathom that Y and U type a message to other people, or that mics/headsets cost 10 bucks for a cheap one. There are so many trolls in this game because there are so many stupid people. Lions are going to flock to a watering hole where the other animals are just drowning one after the other; as they are too dumb to not pull their head out of the water.

That's why you use a mic, or type when you are downed at least, or use binds, or BEFORE the attack happens. You always hear a special or horde before it comes.

The AI is sorta bad, but if you want them to do all the work, or can't protect yourself, maybe you are playing on the wrong difficulty.

If you look back at the post,I said I don't like how they heal themselves when they have a splinter,yet I'm missing limbs.I'm good at the game,the AI just suck.

There's a push to talk voice chat, I think it's on c by default. On top of that you really don't need to be paired up with really good players unless you're doing versus or expert.

Yeah, push to talk is good. If I can laugh my butt off with teammates while being chased around by a tank, then anyone can too!

c to use mic, make sure the speaker is on so you can hear their reply,
y is general chat
u is team chat..

z and x are for quick chat like wait, or call out a item or infected.

use these, and random people can understand your plans better.

I know how to use the voice chat/team chat it's just that their hard to use while fighting.

There is a improved bots add - on in the L4D 2 workshop. I can tell you from experience that it's WAY better than the default one. And one that Valve should look into when programming the bots in the future L4D 3. Oh & bots are not all that stupid. I passed Expert in single player. So it's NOT impossible to play with bots.

Playing advanced and / or expert in public games is just asking for trouble. But YOU have to take responsibility with that choice. No one is forcing you to join to play those difficulties in public games.

By using your head just a little, you can EASILY enjoy what this game has to offer. I don't understand why people just up & rage quit games. I do not quit. Which is why I have a 100% success rating in campaign. And it was not even hard to maintain that stat. You can count on me when you see me in public games, that's for damn sure.

i use all three, not too hard. as long as you dont try typing in the middle of a horde, or 2 inchs from a tank, your fine.
plus using a mic doesnt make it hard to fight.

used that mod, was awful.
i had to remove it, i only got it for the single player versus and scavenger, they wouldnt move, and when they did, they didnt rescue eachother other ever.
plus you cant pick character or difficulty in the main menu,
