Ideas for Custom Maps
I make custom maps for l4d2 and i would like some new ideas because i dont have any at the moment. If the map gets made i will credit the account that suggests the idea. thank you

What about a Friday the 13th or Nightmare on Elm Street themed map. Or maybe something like a horror movie themed map. I had the silent hill one but it didnt work. I would personally play it all the time.

Maybe you should try to gather as much supplies as possible, ex. Flares (for a helicopter escape) and you should make other supplies for other rescues.

What about a campaign that sort of descends into madness, where the survivors aren’t necessarily going to a rescue vehicle, they are just descending into some maniac’s apocalyptic hellish kingdom. It would have a similar vibe to the movie Apocalypse Now.

The first map starts out in a nice sunny neighbourhood, but as they progress through the maps, it gets darker and more evil. Add fog, a lot of dead things with flies and add a lot of blood. In the finale, they pass through a field or corridor full of heads on spikes. Then the end is just this arena with the king of the kingdom sitting at a throne above it, and you have to survive the 2 tanks, and if they survive, he spares their lives and lets them be his slaves. I wonder if you could also put witches surrounding the arena on chains that can only reach so far. That would be an added bonus, but I imagine a lot of work.

The “rescue vehicle” could be similar to the finale in Dead Center, where there is just a square the survivors need to all be in for the round to end, and then it will cut to a scene of the survivors walking toward a bright light emitting from a massive doorway in front of them, then fade to black.

i actaully made a map that is sort of spooky, but isnt really committed to being creepy if you want to check it out

Theres "Lifes a Beach" map that was in progress long ago. Interested? I think the makers of the map stopped because it was too much work with making the infects, survivor, and map beach themed.

also i likely would be not be doing the exact same map, but just doing a similar concept
