It's not made with the idtech 6 doom engine, it's made with Avalanches Apex engine.

i watched the gameplay, i had motion sickness
Your motion sickness is related to your health. Game engine or game have nothing to do with it - it's only stimulant. Fast movements gives your brain information that you are moving but the rest of your body say that you don't move at all. Then your brain thinks that you got poisoned and try to fix it. Those symptoms are known to everybody who work in VR and fast paced first person perspective games.

Too bad. It has nothing to do with engine as you clearly prove since its not "doom engine".
Now feel free to leave or get a treatment for your motion sickness. Bye
Sounds like you shouldn't play FPS games, or it might help if you use a controller to slow down movement compared to a mouse and keyboard.

i'm just kinda upset that it's so fast paced, so much quick jumping, running, my eyes feel weird for some reason watching it. I played FC5 and didn't have any issue, not sure why this engine is causing it.

As far as I know there is no treatment, some games does it to me.

can't believe people are whinging that said game gives them motion sickness....is that a fault of the game or a personal problem specific only to you? as far as I know 90% of us don't suffer so easily with motion sickness and we couldn't care less. In fact the faster and more motion the better...IT IS A FAST PACED ACTION GAME AFTER ALL. I don't want my games to slow to a crawl to cater for a minority.

FC5 speed was nice, never had no issues with my eyes.
Please take good care of yourself when you play games, friend. Motion sickness sucks.
Play around with Motion Blur settings and FOV, as well as brightness settings in all of your games :)

I’ve heard people say sometimes changing the fov in games might help,

Its proven that high Fov actually stops/decreases severity of motion sickness not all the time but sometimes. also headbob and motion blur also can cause motion sickness so if people do suffer from that and still buy it try lowering/turning those things off.

It is not the Doom engine.. Turn off Motion Blur, change Fov,etc..
Ultima modifica da Kozzy; 12 mag 2019, ore 2:27
I dunno if refresh rate or anything like that helps but maybe see someone about this, i know that Fov changes can help or worsen the situation for some.
-> knows that he's getting motion sickness from fast-paced games
-> watches gameplay of a fast-paced game
-> gets motion sickness

turn off the motion blur would help but that is a trailer its ment 2 b fast paced action packed
Im sure there are more ways to play other than the all in run and gun the trailers show, In your case try the game on release and if its not your thing then get that steam 2hour playtime refund. :)
