BFG Locked behind Deluxe and higher, so yea. I refunded this.

Sorry, but I’m not going to support his kind of anti-consumer behavior. We were being misled that the BFG could be unlocked later in the game but the community manager just came out the other day and set the record straight saying that the BFG is locked behind those version of the game. Sorry, but I cannot support this in any way shape or form.

It kills me to have to refund the game, but I have to.

Also, it it really such a big whoop that they've locked one gun in a single player game behind the deluxe edition? Not forgetting you also get an expansion with that?

No it won’t, they just confirmed it. Now unless some outcry forces them to release it. Those of us who bought the standard edition will never see it unless a mod is released of it or Bethesda gives in. But don’t count on it.

...It really isn't a big whoop. It's not like ME3 where an entire chunk of the game was left out. It's one freaking gun.

Does the lack of one gun entirely gut the game? I heavily doubt this. You could only get the sawed-off shotgun and the upgraded armour with thew Anarchy Edition of Rage 1, and nobody batted an eyelid at that.

No, there were many discussions about this and it was thought that later in the game we could get the BFG. Just not from the start like those who paid for the deluxe version of the game. We were misled until they confirmed it and notice in his post how he states sorry for posting this so late. Yea, right!!

The community misled themselves by making an assumption. They were wrong.
And in any case, it really, really does not matter. It's not gonna detriment the game in any way, you still have tons of other guns that are just as good.

It's a minor big whoop. The BFG is a classic gun in the Id-verse (even though it wasn't in Rage 1.) Holding it behind a pay wall would be a bit like if Assassin's Creed Odyssey had held the hidden blade behind a pay wall.
