The Drop Pod Has No Collision!
I don't know why, but sometimes the Drop Pod has no collision!
and every time it happens, and i mean EVERY TIME that that bug occurs, i want to smash my window open, and throw this 300+ dollar laptop out! Surely i can't be the only one experiencing this glitch in games, right? Please, let me and others know and discuss about this below.

I think there are some mods that can help with the frame rate, like one that reduces/removes some particles. If you're not already using them, that might be worth looking into.

That's usually a desync issue with the host.

Now i'm just gonna say this, i don't expect this to be replied to, since there are so many threads about this general topic, so i think GSG won't do anything about this, companies & businesses don't care about the minority, only the majority

Have you tried hosting yourself to see if the issue persists?

I usually do solo missions, so i usually am the host

I've played almost 2,500 hours of DRG and I have never seen this happen once; but I have heard it mentioned a few times.

I would try verifying your local cache through Steam.

Had a friend who I often duo with experience this issue on rare occasions, a long time ago.

I was always the host, and his connection was very often faulty ( not uncommon for mine to have hiccups, as well ), so I reckon it might've been, at least partially, linked to that.

As Chibbity said, definitely verify your files, though.

You're talking about dropping through the drop pod floor?

There have been a number of posts about that over the years, but, overall, it seems pretty rare. Personally, I've done thousands of missions, and I've seen that maybe 2 or 3 times, and it's been a long time (maybe a couple of years) since the last time. I don't know what caused it, but I was playing with others and I wasn't the only one affected, so a desync issue seems like a good guess, but that presumably wouldn't apply if you're playing solo.

$300 laptop? Does it have problems running the game? If so, maybe the game is just having problems keeping up with everything when things get busy, like the spawns on extraction, and the collision detection fails.

well, sometimes i have massive frame drops, to the point where it goes from frames per second, to seconds per frame. But i usually am pretty ok with it, i'm exited for season 5 with the performance update because of the bugs & glitches
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

Well, it worked! I installed a no particles mod, set my graphics to minimum, and now it's running smoothly as can be, thanks!
