Use other builds.
for the longest time I didnt use the sludge cannon. I forced myself to use it, to learn it. I'm glad I did, tho its sad to hear them cry out as they dissolve.
I LOVED the M-1000 for the scout. I got the the point I was Quigly Down Under. I forced myself to use the assault rifle and the plasma rifle. Now I use them more than the M-1000.
Only 2 weapons I wont use. The Crossbow and the plasma pistol of the Driller.
Nope. I use different builds for different types. For example, Elimination and Salvage are wildly different situations. Why would I take a high single target damage, Dreadnought slowing build into a static defense vs swarms situation?
I basically never use the DRAK or Brrt though. They just feel awful compared to the other available options.
I rarely if ever modify these loadouts, i've played the game for hundreds of hours but i'm confident there's a good number of overclocks i've never tried because i'm used to playing with only a select few.
This is why i was excited when they introduced a random loadout beer: now i can make missions a bit more challenging and try builds i wouldn't have otherwise.
Stuck in a rut, bored of the same ways in which you kill bugs? Beard looking stale? Beers all taste the same? Don't fret! The Randoweisser™ is a smooth, foamy wheat beer brewed with whatever random, available ingredients the brewery could find, giving you a new, fresh, albeit sometimes questionable taste experience every time you try it. It's sure to inspire!

As a sort of foundation I set them up with two loadouts per primary (A/B for first, C/D for second, E/F for third), pick an Overclock, then build the rest of the loadout around that.
