With the push towards Linux that Valve is making, I believe it should.
Source 2 supports Linux based operating systems natively, so yeah it will work.

That's true, but all of Valve's previous VR games (including Robot Repair which uses Source 2) are Windows only. Although, SteamVR Home is Source 2 and supports Linux, so who knows?

Alright, the store page is up. The game is Windows only:

Well I hope that Valve brings it to Linux as soon as possible. "No tux no bux" rule still has higher priority than all the hype.

We don't know for a fact, but the Linux versions of both Dota Underlords and SteamVR require Vulkan.

I hope this gets Linux support
Hm... i dind´t thought valve is giving up linux support :(

VR exclusivity doesn't bother me. The lack of Linux support at the sales start stops me to order the Valve Index right now.

I would do the same thing, but I already own Valve Index hardware! If I had known that the "flagship VR game" was going to be Windows only, I wouldn't have bought the hardware in the first place.

i think linux versions work differently depending ob the VR headset you are using, so i think it is even more complex to make a linux version
maybe linux support for INDEX only

Valve will quite likely add support either before launch, or shortly after.

I pretty sure that's the problem that OpenVR and SteamVR are supposed to solve. As long as the hardware supports SteamVR, it should work with any OpenVR game. I might be mistaken though.
