Switch VS Steam, how does it stand out as a whole?
Besides the whole Denuvo talk that's been going around, how does this port stand out compared to the Switch?

They're both as stable as each other as they're practically the same game.

The PC port is nothing special in terms of vs Switch, tho. PC version is more of a port from PS4.

There is a "quick start" sort of title screen on Switch, however.

Dont forget the ability to switch languages, which was Segas "selling point" for this version.

Game looks nice in higher resolution

They're the same game, with the PC version being inferior because of the dwindling playerbase and the completely broken matchmaking system.

The PC version tries to hide the lack of players by just matching you up against whoever's around, while the Switch one can afford to selectively match you against people close to your rating score in your league.

I have both, but I actually prefer the PC version.

Why?

Because PC allows you to use a keyboard, which is much much faster compared to a controller on Switch, unless you are using a table B layout claw grip, which is very painful (for Tetris, of course).

PC pros:
support to every kind of controller avaliable, with customizable inputs
Japanese voices
Higher resolutions
Mods

Switch pros:
It can be played on the go
No need to worry about PC specs
Local Co Op is easier (*cough* Joycons)
There is a demo

There is a demo
Counter arguments:
1: Cellular data+ tablet = Pc on the go
2: Pc with equal specs is less expensive than a switch, so no need to worry bout that
3. 4, player coop possible without purchase of additonal equipment (eg. 2 joycons) (4 player one keyboard like in the old days with joytokey)
4. there is piracy/ are other versions of this series available for free online (nullpomino/ tetris with friends/ puyovs)

Still prefer Pc

Replying the two answers I got.

1.It can be played on the go
That's true and nice. Also avaliable on the 3DS and PSVITA. You can play the PC version on your cellphone with Steam Link, but you need a godlike internet.
2.No need to worry about PC specs
Disagree. PPT on PC doesn't have high requirements.
3.Local Co Op is easier (*cough* Joycons)
It depends on each person. If you already own controllers for PC, its easier on the PC, if you already own Joycons get the Switch version.
4.There is a demo
Nice, so you can see if you like the Switch controller.

Yeah
3. 4, player coop possible without purchase of additonal equipment (eg. 2 joycons) (4 player one keyboard like in the old days with joytokey)
Depends on each person. Playing 4 players on one keyboard is very hard (at least all of my keyboards doesnt handle a lot of keys pressed).
4. there is piracy/ are other versions of this series available for free online (nullpomino/ tetris with friends/ puyovs)
Thats not a discussion about PC vs Switch for Tetris gameplay. Thats a discussion of what version is better.

But I think we can answer more easily.
1.What consoles do you have? Which one has the best controller? Get this version.
2.Want to play with friends? Get the version for the console that suits your necessities better.
The Switch version has HD Rumble. This alone makes it superior to the PC version.

Does PC version have less input lag if you disable Vsync?

It's totally useless for a puzzle game and can be distracting, it's more of a con but you can disable it so it doesn't matter. HD rumble is such a weird name too, it's just advanced rumble.

Have you actually played the Switch version? Because I really don't understand why you'd want to turn it off.
And HD stands for High Definition, it doesn't just refer to 720p.

Yup I tried it, I found it distracting personally. I don't really understand why people want rumble in a puzzle game.
