Roadmap
First off, I would like to say I enjoy the game. I'm hoping after a long period that the game is starting to move more quickly in it's development. My question though is in regards to a roadmap.

I really like a lot of the changes to QOL and the look of the game but I wonder about the priorities here. These recent changes seem to me to be the kinds of things you would do towards Beta. I haven't touched the game in some time, not because I don't like it but because I have nothing to do. We need a lot more map area filled with POI's so we have content to play with.

I need a reason to log in each day. Right now all I do is hop on each time there is an update to look at the new shiny shiny and then log off. I hope there is some substantial content in the pipeline soon.

100% This. It's the main issue I have with the game, and why I hardly play. The game lacks any real purpose. I think a really simple mechanic, that would really boost replay value for me is random events - things like helicopter crashes and airdrops. Mechanically speaking, it wouldn't be doing anything the game doesn't do already. Create a helicopter crash object, spawn it in a random place, at a random time, with random loot inside it, and then notify the player that it exists in x location.

I'm really happy with the current development though, so I can't fault them there. Near-weekly updates and mechanics being introduced left, right, and center. I have nothing but admiration for how hard the developers have been working over the last 12 months. But I just wish they'd add more 'purpose' to the game. Almost every survival game has purpose, and I think it's the one thing STN is missing to start getting good traction within the survival game communities. That's just my take on it anyway.
