does the sleeping bag prevent zombie spawns or do anything besides set your respawn point?

well it does radiate a rest zone in a small area if you want the rest zone buff but dont want to use wood for a fire (this buff is a requirement for reading books so when night comes activate a book plop yourself on the sleeping bag crouch down and wait for morning) its safe it cost nothing but time to use
