How do I use the console commands in sp? Says I'm not admin, surely there has to be a way to use console commands in sp right?

Yes, I'm a cheater. There's no story to the game and I just like to have fun.

To change up your perms you'll need to alter the serverusers file on your pc. The file is located in appdata/roaming/survivethenightsserver/config
ServerUsers
You'll see your steamID and name there. You'll see along the line your player rank is 3, set that to 2 and you'll have access to all commands. The number just after the long steamID string.

Where are those files located? I can find them nowhere, I started hosting a dedicated server, MY OWN server, on which I have no permission. No save file exists anywhere, no appdata config folder exists anywhere, I tried to find a video, caus obviously I must be stupid - and the guy has a "browse" button - WHICH DOSEN'T EXIST! He also has a "solo" option, that I don't have. What's going on with this game?

If someone simply could provide the exact link, where the file is located, where the permission has to be changes, that would be fantastic!

Thanks in advance!

Lamarga

I saw this video too and it is just outdated. The game updated and changed, thats the reason the solo option doesnt appears to you. And its in EA, so there will be much more changes till the final release.

About the location of the file, trhe developer alreeady answered. Just see his comment here:

Appdata is a common folder on any windows version. It is a surprise you do not knew about it. Btw, you have to press WINDOWS KEY + R or click on windowes menu > Run.
Write the text:

%appdata%\SurviveTheNightsServer\WorldSaves\

And press RETURN.

It will have a folder with an id. Open those folder and the file: ServerUsers.txt will be there.

Change the number 3 to the number 2, save the file and start the game.
Enjoy!

you oppened the wrong folder. Here there are many folders. One of them have the file with my steamid64. You have to find yours.

It will looks like this:
24902783881783285,3,false,false,Joew

You have to change the number 3 after the first comma to 2, like:
24902783881783285,2,false,false,Joew

And save the file.
