Hordes reset each time a game is loaded

I have a multiplayer save with my friend we started playing and we have a problem, that the horde progression and leveling system resets back to beginning each time we want to play and load the game.
(for example we play for few hours, we survives several hordes, the horde level goes up. We then stop playing and next week when we want to play again a load the save, the hordes is reset back to the basic level.
I checked every possible setting and there is nothing wrong. (there is not hard set horde level, so it should be progressing.) it just for some reason doesnt save the horde level.
is it supposed to be like that?
