Massive Lag
Is anyone else experiencing a severe lagging in the cutscenes of this game? It's really bad and I never had this problem with my Vita verison. I had other problems too, like my screen freezing right in front Trista Station but unfortunately I had to lower the presets to Console in order to fix that but I can't figure out what I need to do to fix the crazy lag probelms with this game. Character "jump" but their bodies are still and it's sooo slow it just looks ridiculous. Can anyone help?

If you could fix it by lowering the settings, that sounds like your system isn't powerful enough.

Tell me your rig.

Yeah, I'm not very tech savvy so I don't even know what rig is let along know how to find out, sorry. I was able to play all the other Trails games just find, so this is really dissappointing.

Rig - A computer. The word is commonly used by DIY computer geeks or hardcore computer gamers.

He's basically asking you to detail your computer specifications. It's highly likely your problem is that your computer is just not powerful enough to run Cold Steel at higher than the Console preset setting. Older Trails games are very old so they're generally able to run fine on low end machines.

Oh well, I'm on the Console setting right now and it would really suck if my Laptop isn't powerful enough since it's not that old.

My Laptop is an HP laptop, Windows 10 Home
My Processor is: AMD A8-5550M APU with Redeon HD
My Graphics: 2.10 GHz
My Ram: 4.00 GB (3.19 GB usable)
My System Type: 64 bit-operating system, x64 process power.

I don't know if this is the right infor or if this will help

Yeah, you'll have to lower the settings. I had this issue when playing at 4k resolution - game ran fine, but the cutscenes did not.

Also, you don't even meet the minimum requirements... So this should be expected.

Tell us the model of your graphics card.

You should try to lower every setting down to the lowest, and see if the problems go away.

What, really!? Aww, man. So that means I have to go to the lowest settings possible, that sucks! Ugh, I'm glad I beat the game 3 times and like it better on my Vita anway otherwise I would be even more pissed.

Well I mean I can play the game it's just the cutscenes lag, that's all so far.

You're on "console" settings, right? If it's still lagging, you can lower the settings further and improve the performances.

Try changing "MSAA" option to "None", and might as well change the resolution to 1280x720 if you're not using it already.

The problem may be the 'High Quality Depth of Field' setting. I'd try turning that one off and watching the opening cutscene to see if the stuttering is still there. Assuming it's currently on, that is.

Yes, actually, most of the extra checkbox features are something they just added for this PC version, so all of them are beyond the PS3 hardware level.

Well, the reason I was bringing that one up in particular is because I've seen several people complaining that the DoF setting is the one causing low framerates in cutscenes, even if they're mostly able to turn all the other settings up to max. Seems to me that that setting in particular is the most likely culprit for the issues OP's having, so I'd try disabling that one before anything else.

Turning off the DoF setting did help and I was even able to put it on the High Presets but it was a little slow, only like by a second. Not lagging but slow, I changed it back to Systems and that seems to work, I even have some of the check boxs on so that's good.

Thank you guys for taking the time to help me out. This was really bugging me.
