Recap of issues and requests addressed in 09/05 livestream.
Someone suggested that I look at the live stream for some answers on pressing questions. So I did. Here's what I was able to find:

1. Hotfix 1.02 was officially released.

2. They can not divulge too much information on gameplay at the moment as it might ruin the discovery process for new players.

3. The game has only been out for a few days and they have not gotten around to many of the queries because of time.

4. When placing GP/Treatment offices it is not only about how many rooms you place but also about the quality of training your doctors/nurses have. Building more offices alone will not necessarily fix queue issues. You need to have both enough offices and good enough staff to alleviate long queues. In other words, quality AND quantity. So it sounds as if they're saying it is working as intended.

5. They have a long list of priorities they are working on right now.

6. The copy room function request has been seen and taken in consideration but they don't have an answer yet because they don't know. Right now It is not a priority. See #5.

7. DLC is not being discussed right now since the game was only just released. If and when they have something to say about it they will.

8. Will the soundtrack of the game be available for download? They don't know yet but they'll let us know.

9. The difference between the number of nurses you assign to a ward vs assigning nurses to ward duty on the job page is that the first indicates how many nurses can work in a specific ward at any given time whereas the second indicates what type of room the nurse can work in.

10. From the way Craig was building rooms it seems that putting a lot of medicine cabinets in certain rooms is a good thing?

11. If you are missing your Golden Toilet follow these instructions by Blarla:

12. At this stage there are no plans being discussed for a console release. They know many people requested a console version and if anything changes they will let us know.

13. Men's toilets are filthy. Women's toilets are not. :steammocking:

14. Blarla is awesome. :steammocking:

15. Sonic is in the game. :steamhappy:

If people are interested enough, sure.
thanks for the recap.
Thanks for doing this. Honestly they should just blog, because it's hard to watch an hour video for not a lot of info.
Thanks for the summary!
Nothing to add, but I answer to thank you and to let you know I'm interested enough 😛
How can "copy function" not be a priority? I'm not buying until - theres your priority

Probably because there are more important bugs - bugs that render the game literally unplayable - than the annoyance of having to copy reach room by hand.

Let's see now - Do they fix game crashes, startup issues and game breaking AI bugs for those who already purchased the game or do they drop all of that and immediately put a new feature in the game because someone is waiting to buy until they do?

What do you think they'll do? :steamfacepalm:

both because you basically copy the room when you lift it and move it. Lot of the work is done already they just need an UI programmer to do some light stuff.

Yes the basic functionality is there but the game code is still buggy. Adding new features before fixing bugs actually increases the time it takes to fix bugs because you do not know if the new feature is broken due to the unfixed bugs or if it has its own bugs. Which is why game companies will always sort out as many bugs as they can first so that the framework they add on to is as stable as possible.

It's totally not important as a function, although it'll be a nice addition. Your priorities are very weird.

That is not the same thing at all.
Unless Unity has a generic copy object method, with properties, scripts and anything associated, they will have to manually check stuff.
Moving an object is not the same thing as coping.

They also have to check the value of everything in the room to evaluate the cost.
I don't know if the game has unique objects, but if it does, it also has to remove those from the copied instance.

The mod for copying rooms actually uses a method for room copy that exists already. It's just (as you said) super buggy because they didn't get to finish it up before release (i.e. it was cut).

I'd be surprised if they didn't implement it at some point, but it'll probably be a month or two down the road till they get around to it because of obvious higher priority issues.

Implementing UI for it isn't really be that difficult. Less than a day's work if they already have a UI design for it (which I'd be surprised if they didn't).

I'm of course assuming they're using Unity's current UI solution and not something custom or a third party asset. I'm basing that assumption on the elements and the way they function (I'm...intimately familiar with Unity's UI tools. Spent a few weeks writing code wrappers for all of them as I create the UI dynamically in the game I'm working on).
More people should read this, so I'm upping it.
