Weapon level from bundles vs level of the player character

I bought Dying Light two years ago, but am only now starting to play it. Back then I had the Ultimate Editon, which puts legendary or artefact weapons in my stash.

My question is whether the weapons from the Ultimate Edition or from bundles take on the level of the player character when these weapons are activated in the stash (example: player character has level 5, the legendary or artefact weapons activated then also have level 5)? Or do these weapons always have level 1?

They take on the player level.
You can also craft version of them too (im pretty sure) when you go to the crafter/upgrader dude(s), which those ones are not scaling towards your level, theyre based off of upgrades im pretty sure.

Ok, thanks for the information. So should I wait until the player character has a higher level before unpacking/activating the legendary or artefact weapons?

no they scale with you as you level. So use em all you want lol. You can repair them too.

That part im not sure. Ive not played since legendarily came out.
I think if its a redeemable weapon though it should be scaling to your level.
If not, then likely you can upgrade em at the crafter.
Youll have to wait for a response from someone else though. Im maybe like 25% done with the story/side quest on this run on nightmare so im not even close to getting that ♥♥♥♥. Im only level 3 atm lmao.
