A campaing may come in the future, but if singleplayer is your only aim, you shouldn't buy it for the moment :)
However, it is fair to offer constructive criticism about "fact based" items, such a performance issues and other technical glitches. The developers are aware of the current concerns, and I am confident fixes are in the works.
Personally, and although Empires Apart has been marketed as a competitive multiplayer game, I am disappointed about the AI. It is clunky which makes for less than satisfying matches. I fully believe if a game has certain features - single player options for example - the features should be polished at launch and supported after release. I truly hope the developer does not lose sight of those options as - campaign or not – they are significant to many players.
Bottom line, everyone should do a little research on the game before offering blunt and misdirected critiques.
