controls
the store page says full controller support but does this game have
full kb/m support and are the controlls mappable?

i ask cause a few games i was waiting for turned out not to support mice
i cant stand forced wasd (arrows are fine), and i cant remember fixed button layouts
i have to map to referant keys ie h = heal, r = reload, m = map, etc

Hey AltBringer!

We support keyboard/mouse and all controllers. We are currently working on key bindings and it's a feature that should be added shortly after launch. :)

Thanks for the question!

When you say mouse do you mean moving in the direction of the cursor like D3 or is only WASD from a third person from above view? I want to be able to use the mouse as I do in D3 if that makes sense. Thanks in advance for your response.

Hey pek83!

We do use the keyboard for movement, our game's mechanics for movement and spellcasting wouldn't work using the D3 movement method. But we assure you this has been tested extensively and it plays really well! :)

Hope this answers your question!

So if I understand correctly, it's not your typical diablo click click click game?? I can actually move with the keyboard, and aim with the mouse?? If so, then you may have a sale really soon. I honestly can't stand the diablo click click click games anymore.

@Necrobile: Exactly!

This is an action/adventure game, so the hack and slash method couldn't work with our aiming system for spells. We've got industry vets who've worked really hard on the controls so they feel as responsive as possible! :)

If you use an "exotic" gamepad as I, can you try the free tool: x360ce

The keyboard movement in its current form makes the game nearly unplayable for me. I do however offer a solution: have an option for movement relative to the direction the toon is facing, instead of relative to the direction of the screen edge.

When I'm trying to move her, I want to (for instance) keep going straight down the path by pressing W, not constantly mess with SD because the path leads to the bottom right of the screen.

Chris, is there any chance this could be made an option?

@gregg: I suggest you test a few things out with the new keybinding system we will be patching in the near future! :)

all sounds good to me

@greg, gota say, im the opposite on that movment style
when i push up i expect to jump or move up the screen
ive played a few games w/ real squirrly character facing
and it sucks big trying to interact with things expecially if the interact tollerance is stingy
or theres no autoface cycling

but if thats what make it work for you, i hope things work out

Hi everyone! Thanks for all the feedbacks!

The optimisation of the Keyboard/Mouse controls will be one of our priorities these next days/weeks! All your comments and suggestions are very appreciated!

Personally, I'm finding the control scheme to be virtually unplayable as it is. Frankly, for all the dev's assertions about this being "extensively tested" it looks far more like a lazy straight-from-console port, with the movement pad mapped straight to WASD.

It's horrible, it's unintuitive and, for a game that seems to require relatively precise control, it's extremely inexact.

I think M/K players would be far better off with an option that "W" means "straight towards the mouse", "S" means "straight away from the mouse" and "A" and "D" were left and right strafe alternately. This would be a significantly more accurate control scheme than the current one, and I'm going to put this game on hold (with a negative review) until something more reasonable is implemented.
@TheCombatWombat

That sounds like an interesting control scheme. Would there be particular examples in existing games that you would like to share?

I believe the current WASD movement system is a remnant of the since-removed WASD casting system for particular spells. There was some outcry that WASD casting was unintuitive, so it was replaced with the strict mouse-casting today.

Honestly, it's not an original idea by any stretch of the imagination. It's taken straight from the top-down (and isometric) shooter genre (and similar such games). I didn't come up with it at all.

That's one of the reasons this control scheme so annoyed me and why I disbelieve their assertions that "extensive testing" was done.

Anybody with an ounce of industry knowledge would have known that their current scheme (which I think is designed the way it is for easy console porting) is rubbish for M/K, especially since there are several vastly superior control schemes already out there which they could have used.
