Test report of Loading time

We got feedback from some players that when they first launch game,
the loading took long time,especially use mechanical hard drives and
low memory.

We did many testing.
the results:

a、CPU:i7-4790k
Memory:16G
GPU:GTX960

Official server:4-10mins
SP:4-20mins

As a pro comment to your testings, i can say only that if the game is installed on HDD is loading hardly but on a SSD it takes around 20 sec to load the server after server selection.

Sometimes even this fast loading time on SSD, connection to server returns the player to main menu even server loading files reached 90% on their screen.

When I open D&L there is a small pause between the title page and main menu screan. Which doesn't usually happen with other games, but its only about 1 - 2 seconds so, no biggy. There is zero wait time after selecting the Play Online option, its instant. Same with map selection.

When I load the server it takes under 1 minate. But, there is a random lag that happens only between 87% - 99%. Before those %'s the load is steady and clean, only between 87% and 99% does it lag out. Which every other game I play, loads strait through cleanly from 1 - 100%.

Still total load time is under 1 minate, but all of that lag is in between 87 - 99% which is strange for my rig. It seems to me like some of the files at that point are having trouble for whatever reason. Its reasonable to think that anyone that my be running an older or lower end machine might have some real problems in that portion of the loading process. So whatever is loading at that point may need some attention.

Anyway, hope this helped a little.

So I dont have any problems, with loading times.

Sorry, I`m new to Dark and Light, a few friends and I are just starting to play, but we are all experiencing dreadful log in issues, with the game stopping responding after we have selected the server and started the game
i have tried many times to log in and each time have had to restart my PC in order to even close the game, as it will not even close the open window to shut down the game,
i have Valadated my files on steam and even tried a fresh download
i will continue to follow your disscussions

It has nothing to do with ram nor grafs or so.. SSD - 1 min load, HDD - 3+ simple as that.

It is the communication from client to server sp loads 1 min.

My issue is playing single player. After i select 'host local' im taken to the next page and as soon as I select 'play single player' it sticks on a load screen with no progress bar. The only way around it is to close the game and load it for a second try then it actually shows a loading progress bar and im able to start the game rather quickly.
