Best land based creature?
Looking for something land based for a good combat pet. Looking for something statistically strong that I can get without suppression stones.

In assuming thebest would be a yeti, Cyclops, or centaur. But which one?

I don't know about the yeti, centaur, or cyclops personally, as I've only heard mixed things in other places, but I have seen many instances of a high level lava tiger being an extraordinary combat mount, only being limited by the current mounted creature attack delay bug.

Yeah, that is the issue, no one seems to have tamed most creatures haha.I will have to try a lava tiger if I can eventually. Im unfortunately currently on the opposite side of the map from them

I've played more than 200 hours of the game and almost all of it on one server. I've tamed or had a hand in taming damn near everything in the game so far all the way up through infernus and frost dragons. In my personal opinion, the only mount I would even consider for combat at the moment would be a dragon, simply because of the terrible issue of wild animals getting stuck inside your mount, server lag causing your beast's hits not registering, and because you can simply do massively more damage than every tame with a ghost scythe or greatsword or even a good spear or hammer. Yetis are underwhelming, though their health pool is nice. Lava tigers look great, but they're really almost identical to the regular deathstalker in statistics. Centaurs are weak as all hell, and cyclops are great for damage against structures, but that's about it. If you are absolutely dead set on getting a land-based mount for battle, I might consider a Bahamut, simply because you can tank a lot of damage and their special attack does decent damage in a resonable AOE.

Im not worried about it being a mount. I have a vrok for that. I just want a solid land based combat pet. I've been leaning towards yeti since I can't tame high level elemental yet. Once I can it seems truants would be the way to go

If you're not worried about a mount, go reaper. They're great body guards.

Edit: didn't read about the stones. Go Cyclops. They're a great alternative until you get them.

Can't wait until I can get a reaper. Or any of the stone creatures.

Cyclops it is! Any reason you chose them over yeti?

Hit harder, better AoE and health pool, and deal great structure damage. Two or three walking around you will keep you safe from most things

There's a camp near the sacred forest outside of elf territory. It's at the base of an oddly shaped mountain.

They sometimes clip into the wall, so if you can't find any, grab a panther.
