Weird audio glitch?

About 2 seconds of audio from my project is not playing, i can preview the whole video, sound is perfect except this short but where no sound from any tracks plays.

The original audio tracks are fine, I can hear the sounds when I play them outside Vegas, but when I render the video that bit is mute. 2 track both muted for 2 seconds, what might be the reason for this, I haven't used any audio envelopes etc, this section is in the middle of a cut that is otherwise fine.

If i copy the cut to another location in the project it works, if I slide the entire project to the right it works fine, but then of course the start of the video is @ 3 minutes. The problem seems specific to this position in the track, a 2 second patch around 2:30.

Cheers, but I fixed it by just starting a new project. It was weird though, a 2 second muted section in the project with no obvious cause, no sound files placed there could be heard for those 2 seconds.
