[Official] What can be expected in January
Inquisitors,

first off, we would like to welcome those who joined the ranks over the Holiday Season. We are glad to receive your assistance in purging the filth of the universe.

This post is about letting you know what you can expect in January. So let's get started.

1. Our team is now working on an update that will remove some problems a few of you ran into. We have prioritised them according to how severe these issues were. Here they are:

  • The Warp Nova enchant that caused stunlock in some instances will get fixed.
  • The Empyrean Stashes' description about the drop-chance was not correct in the game. (The right value can still be found in the compendium.)
  • Tarot hazards increasing enemy armour could stack which made the life of Inquisitors with no armour-piercing skills quite difficult. With the patch, at most 2 can stack and the armour cap of enemy units will be maxed at 80. This way it still remains challenging but Armoured enemies should no longer become effectively invulnerable.
  • The frequency at which minions could spawn under Warp Heat was quite high. After the update, less enemies will spawn and their HP will diminish over time. While we were at it, we rebalanced the Warp Surge anomaly (the triangle shaped one). It will end sooner and inflict less damage.
  • Hot Pursuit mission: The VIP was not so tough, especially on higher level missions. After the patch, he will be invulnerable, so accidental AoE skills should not insta-kill him anymore.
  • Some Tech-Adept module blueprints and other supposedly removed items are still lingering in the game, causing confusion. These will be permanently removed after the patch arrives.
  • Intel drops will be locked to campaign progress. Playes cannot get any until they unlock at least the first Subsector. This is so they don't get stuck in a planet without the ability to travel. Moreover, we have added a new button to the Starmap Micro Menu at the bottom that instantly takes you to the Sector View of the Starmap.
  • Ordos: this MIGHT get included as well, depending on how fast we can deal with it. Our goal is to make the character-based Ordos reputation account wide. It is not a guarantee, but we want to achieve this as well in our next update.


2. Now let's go on to our second, but just as important topic: server and Co-Op stability.

On the multiplayer aspect of the game there have been disconnections and item losses happening to a portion of our players. To let you know, we started to work on these issues already. Our team has been rewriting our entire backend for some time now and as soon as we have put the finishing touches on it, we will transfer our backend onto an entirely new provider and activate it. This should provide much better stability and the problems will hopefully all be gone.

This is a bigger project so you cannot expect it to get implemented overnight. We don't have a date for it yet but it will take a few more months. Until then we would like to ask your patience.


3. Besides these stuff, our attention will be divided between two future content-patches. One is the Sororitas class-DLC while the other one is Season 5. We will work on them simultaneously. As for other hotfixes, only the January patch can be confirmed but we (especially me) will be here to listen to your feedback, reports and take action as the necessity arises.

great to hear that!

Really love all the support that you provide to the game in the years. Started game on 2021 and havent dissapointed yet. Great activities, lore-accurate (and deep) things and many hours of fun. Unlikely other online games i dont need a lot of knowledges about building, strategies and many others, i just sitting and have fun (flamethrowher build escpecially). But, by reaching high-level see a lot of repeating stuff, maybe need to add some new type of missions, activities or zones? Also, some new items (with new appearens and effects) will be great, i think. I know it is difficult to do so, because need to prove everything at GW, but it still some dream of me, and maybe other fans. Also, the ship of Inquisitor (aka hub) need some more activity or interactions with crew beetwen missions (like it made in Starcraft 2, maybe).

I hate to post for help on this, but I haven't been able to get any official help. I'm doing a Void Crusade and one of the missions that should be available is completely greyed out. I didn't fail it, the mission failed to load and then greyed itself out. I'm trying to do the Master achievement and I can't without this mission.

Can someone help me???

Hi, thanks for the updates. I posted some more bugreports in the tech support forum what are not included here. Maybe you can have a look. Not so big ones, but should be fixed, especially the two bugs from the rosarius force field.

This time we won't include skill/item/ability-related fixes in the update but I will check on your report and will write them all up to our testers. Thanks!

Yay for perils changes. Playing high heat psyker, they can get out of control extremely fast.
Out of curiosity, how far out is the Sororitas class estimated? Every day I log into steam hoping to see an update, but so far all we know is "Sometime in 2022". No definites, obviously, but are we thinking Q1, maybe Q2? Q3 or Q4? Maybe a gameplay trailer in the near-future, or is she just a concept with some minor coding at this point?

I have only a rough date which is the summer but this can change based on the development process.

That is superwelcome. By now actually the VIP is not really good visible, did kill it now for 4 tims in a row because i either could not target in in the bunch of others and/or killed it by accident wenn i hit a button and perished it with all the filth :)

Can you guys also take a look at another warp peril - the one that spawns purple balls flying off from the center? At least I think it's the one responsible for the following - sometimes something spawns dead on top of the psyker, without any animation whatsoever, and just completely oneshots the suppression bar. There's no control over it, there's no counterplay - you just randomly go from 100% into a stunlock. Some tuning here would be greatly appreciated in the future.

That one is very easy to miss.

Oh, that's what it is. I get that it's not bug, but neither are daemon spawns. Still they are getting tweaked. Maybe better visibility would help.
