EDIT:jk u played dark souls
That's really the only fight that does anything like that though. So I wouldn't worry about it happening again.
The developer made hard mode to troll us, not challenge us.
I did it literally yesterday on normal mode, and the androids were either doing no damage or so little that it doesn't matter, like say 1 point of damage or thereabouts
That said I enjoyed the fight a lot, though I feel it would be better if the camera in the "top-down" mode was pulled slightly further back so you can see what's happening better.
play on normal from lv 1 to 20.
And normal is made for arthtritic grand-ma... Bad balance, just as the artificial, unfair and punishing difficulty.
Mind you, I do not condemn the game, it has a welcome feeling of "come suffer more"... and I will finish it (on normal !) before telling if I find it good or not. But god it is frustrating even though I'm a big fan of difficult - but fair ! - games as you could see taking a look at my library
the most powerful enemy is much weaker.
fun game, terrible balance.
How the hell do you reach level 60 during the first run without grinding? That's not true.
You needed someone to tell you this? If the game is too hard, lower the difficulty. That's what a difficulty setting is for. lol You won't miss anything by playing on normal (or even easy). There are no achievements or endings or any other rewards for playing on a harder difficulty. The setting is only there so that you can adjust the difficulty according to your liking.
Dude I think you misunderstand something. I do not play for achievement or alternate ending nobody cares (or, at least, should care) about. I play for fun, for enjoyment.
It happens that I find enjoyment through some difficulty... Yes, SOME ! Not impossible, absurd challenge with the game using every possible trick to ruin it, including some unfair, incredible lame methods like locking camera during a fight so you can not see ennemies attack....
I do not judge the overall game yet, but the balance is a mess I rarely have seen through 30 years of intense video gaming. And that is a fact, like the hard mode of the game was made to be frustrating (which is an awfull way of creating difficulty).
I do not doubt it is possible to finish the game on hard difficulty. But hey, it's possible to finish mario with a blindfold ! But how would you, as a normal player, react if all ennemies were invisible and holes were no different from ground ?
I should say a way too easy game tends to annoy me... and NIER on normal is just like that : you can take a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of hits, in case you want to take your time you just have to keep pressing two buttons, run in circle and you're good. On hard you don't even have a camera lock and every hit one shot you.... don't you think there's a lot of space between the two to create a difficulty mode ?
The game has its qualities, no denying of that, but it IS frustrating in more than one way... and not good ones...
