Where to find Iberian Wolves?

I've been playing Cuatro Colinas since its release and i have yet to be able to run across wolves, i have traversed a good portion of the map and i only hear them howl but have never been able to locate them, i do not make noise, i am smell proof, but i am also confused lol. Any tips would be great.

I was in the valley between two outposts (middle and right side) at the top edge of the map, there is steep drop into the valley at the middle outpost.
Got jumped by a pack of wolves there about 5 pm. there was 6 or 7 of them, shot three and rest fleed deeper into the valley.

Shot two wolves today at -5514 / 7832 as well.

Does anyone else feel the wolves dont reac to either of the callers? Can we look into this. I see a wolf 100m away ,call, nothing happens.

I got the feeling they were more akin to coyotes than the yukon wolves. I had them surround me just after dusk, and I got all excited hoping to see the new wolves.. nope, got close and then ran without ever breaking out of the brush.

I only called wolves once after spooking them. No result, was charging around upper half of map opening up posts. I did get a large red deer at that spot though, it did respond to its caller.

Yeah Wolves dont respond to any caller.

wolves and callers have been an issue since Yukon. I stumbled on a pack near the Warden's favorite hunting area in the evening. Score so far is me 3 wolves 1.

Thanks i'll be sure to take a look there, i have been south-west where i hear them howling in the day time, maybe i should go a little later in the evening/night. Only time will tell.

There is a mission where it asks you to spot 3 need zones for wolves in a particular region, but I have not found a single wolf in that area at all. The ones I do find near lakes on the edges of the area always run away from that particular zone and if I chase them into there, they always run out.

wolves attacked me pretty often in Yukon right from the beginning. Here I see rarely any wolves. I killed only 1 or 2 yet, and NO attacking groups yet. I heard some howls, but then I saw no wolves. Callers don't work. Definetely not enough wolves!!!

In fairness to the devs, wolves around the world are not the same. Iberian wolves are crafty and evasive, almost invisible when they want to be. They are few on the ground per sq. mile, it's just the way it is here.

In contrast, although I've never been to the Yukon, the wolves there are world renown for being bold and invasive....not to mention very successful and thereby, there are many more per sq. mile.

I like that the Iberian wolves are more elusive. It would be dull if they were just a repeat of Yukon.

I am on this mission as well, i went through all of the mission area and found 1 wolf, i killed the wolf but it turns out that he had just crossed the boundary of the mission area and gone into the next area so it didn't count. After that i went up and i found a landmark called Life Springs Eternal, located at -5764,513 11088.399. It was nighttime but i ran into a pack of seven and managed to drop a 900 point male pretty quickly, no attack or charge though sadly. The landmark is located 1.30km west of the Crest Ribereria outpost located at -4475, 10930,575. i recommend heading out just before nightfall and you should get there as the wolves start some activity it seems.

The mission is called Packed off and is inside Colita Rota. That mark is in Ascenso Del Peregrino. Are we thinking about the same mission?

Keep the wolves from the door was hard to do, but I was able to find a zone.

I found no wolves or zones there too

The only place I have found any wolves in Colita Rita is that far north lake on the far north shore. I was able to find one drink zone, now need a rest and feed zone.

The mission is way harder than it needs to be.

Although I killed a few wolves by pure chance, the wolves' needs areas are not found.
I often hear howls but wolves remain invisible, they are very discreet.
