Can we get animations?

Here's an example of what I'm asking for http://store.steampowered.com/app/200150/Battle_Chess_Game_of_Kings/

It doesn't have to be part of the game, you can throw the chess pieces, board and animations in as a DLC, I wouldn't mind paying extra for it, but it would be extremely cool if you can make this a reality!

A side idea would be giving pieces their own personalities, basically just unique skins and animations for each piece, tough but so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ cool!

On a sidenote, will there be any workshop support for things like new chess boards/environments/pieces/mods/animations (if you decide to follow through with my initial question)?

Oh god no!

I have Battle Chess and the animations get old fast and they just slow down the game. I ended up just turning the fight animations off in Battle Chess. Chess Ultra is a better chess game simply because it doesn't have drawn out animations that were only cool the first time you saw it.
