Patch notes - 20181214
Hello Everyone,

Please rest assured that this is just the start of the work we are carrying out. We are prioritising as best we can, and we are already looking into working on further other fixes for patches updates that will come in the New Year.

If the fix you are after is not in the list below please bear with us and we will update you ASAP.

PC Patch
-          Numerous stability fixes
-          Improvements and fixes to menu navigation for mouse and keyboard users
-          Support for remapping of movement keys
-          Improved vegetation rendering and asset updates
-          Fixes to some texture mapping issues
-          Increased mouse sensitivity range
-          Corrected specialised vehicle support for mouse and keyboard players
-          Fixed issue with steering flying vehicles with keyboard
-          Fixed the disabling SSAO option in Graphics menu, which resulted in broken Ambient Occlusion

Please note that this patch will also enable automatic crash reporting to ensure Avalanche can roll out fixes ASAP for any crashes that still happen to occur.

As well as paying close attention to your feedback, we are really enjoying the incredible gameplay clips you have been creating. This is a big part of any Just Cause game, so please keep sharing your work. Our work continues, and watching you enjoy what we have created helps provide the fuel we also need. Once again, a huge thank you to everyone who has supported Just Cause 4 to date, we really appreciate your patience while we work on further patches and fixes. We will continue to monitor all of your feedback and keep you all updated on future patches.

If you are experiencing issues then please contact the customer support teams who are also providing direct feedback to us:

As long as these patches are frequent and aren't spread across long stretches like JC3, I'm willing to give you guys the benefit of the doubt.

I doubt they're ever going to do anything about it.

They never fixed half the issues with JC3, and the memory leaks have always been a major issue in that game. Besides all that, telling them to add something in the game that wasn't already made is extremely unlikely, unless they add it as some sort of dlc.

So would the directx crash fall under "stability improvements" or can I still not play it.

Give the Just Cause Team a chance, they must be exhausted not only developing the game but to fix it as best they can.

Thank you for your hard work and please keep us informed, and drink plenty of coffee :D

Edit: Nvm, this patch barely scrapes the surface on this cess pool of bugs, and ended up creating more.

Just checked it out, and the patch fixes a number of important issues. Have to thank them for actually putting out this patch fairly quick.
It's 10 days after launch and all they've done is made the game run a bit better and implement the rebinding of movement keys. The game still crashes for me and is still full of technical and graphical glitches which have persisted from launch day.

Ok so what your saying is I still cant play it.

You can try, but I've personally already experienced another directx crash.
