I wonder how many more failed titles they need before they let this franchise "die" with the last bit of dignity it has left...

They obviously can't give us another good title, either sell it or let it "rest" in peace already...

if watchdogs 2 didnt teach them a lesson.. ubisoft should start putting in more budget and effort in these classics.. not this kind of games, in my opinion :/

They didn't need watchdogs 2 to teach them that lesson when it comes to Might&Magic, they could have learned it back with HoMM6 or even MMX...

I think when franchise dies it is pretty bad. Better to have a little hope for bright future with bad games than just knowing the fact, that legendary series is dead forever, just exactly what EA doing with their titles.

I don't want it to die for good, i just want them to stop ruining it's good name with all these bad titles, there has not been a good title in this series since TotE and Dark Messiah imho. It would be awesome if they sold it off, i doubt they will tho and considering it's current reputation i wonder if anyone would even be willing to pay their asking price even if they did.

someone like wargaming could easily buy it
or nordic

Bought it, played it and this is bad. It feels like a bad mobile game with barely any control or customization options(in terms of an RPG, visually you can paint to your heart's desire).

I don't know why they used Might & Magic name for a Photoshop filter. And indeed, it looks appealing for children, who'll spend most of their time painting monsters who'll be featuring fast-paced pre-determined-bound-to-have-exploits 'real time' battles, hardly aware that many of those details they'll spend effort on designing won't be noticed, whilst they sit dully watching things do a set of long-given commands.

Like someone else already said. They never should have put the M&M name on it. Heck they even could have used every character from every game Ubilol owns in this and called it something like Ubilol: Arena or something (i know the name is not really serious). Now they restrict themselves and they could have had a bigger following towards this game. I still wouldn't have bought it tho.

Now the game itself. First of all it looks really ugly ingame, but the close up of the models look actually pretty good (except for that sun tanned orc), especially when you give them colour.

The gameplay looks boring as hell. This really looks more like a mobile game than a pc game.

The fact that nobody ever asked for this was thier biggest mistake to begin with. Especially after everything that happened with the development of H7 and the way they ended the support. I guess they really believed that ppl would buy this crap even after all these sh*tty things they have done.

I really hope they sell it, because i don't even trust them at this point.

Are you guys thinking of a different game? Watchdogs 2 was a huge improvement compared to the first one that failed.

This is where you failed to understand the meaing of "failed". Ubisoft and most big publishers will only bang their bucks on franchises that "sells". Watchdog wasn't entirely original perhaps maybe the 'hacking' part was. It still follow most of Ubisoft existing open world games with lots of 'collectibles', repetitive 'mini games' be it racing, hacking event, hijacking, blablabla. They are reluctant to bang their bucks on franchises like "Prince of Persia" or "Might and Magic" and do something relatively different. They refuse to put effort and enough "money" to promote other franchise. Heck by this rate.. if they were really to do what Bethesda has been doing, Might & Magic would have been as big as Skyrim.

Moral of the story.. those top guys (directors, investors, CEOs, etc.).. they are no gamer. They are only looking for 'growth' in their yearly revenue. They dont mind giving you copy paste rehashes as long as they continue making money. The reason why there's a Watchdogs 2 because the first was a phenomenal success. The reason why it was a success, that's not the point of my discussion. Seeing that, there'll probably never be another Watchdogs 3.

The reason why we are seeing this was because of "Child of Light". Child of Light was an example of a very successful franchise with "minimal" budget and has "phenomenal" success. They are trying to repeat that again using the Might & Magic brand.

i for my taste like the option to paint the s**t out of some miniatures and so more the fact that i can see them set in motion and battle but why is it a battle system like it is prayed be the holy RNGesus ?
