Bottom bed doesn't work??

Built a bottom bed inside a twig cabin, but it doesn't seem to "work". There is no option to lay down on the bed. The "rest" option doesn't appear. How do you use the bed?

The only way I found is to be placed in front of the Top
or in front of the Bottom, on the Left side

It should work if you place the cursor anywhere on the mattress.
But it doesn't. Is this a bug?

I don't think it ever did. I have seen posts and have had players also think two players could now use it and that does not work either!
It is only decoration!

No it's not decoration. Prior to the nuclear update you could use the bed. If the cursor was on the mattress you would see an option saying "rest". If you enabled that option, your character would lay down on the bed, but only in one particular position.
Maybe the devs just left this option out because it wasn't deemed necessary anymore. Technically you don't need a "rest" mechanic to use the bed. You can just stand on the mattress and select your "lay down" option from the action wheel. Then, your character will lay down on the bed just as if there had been a "rest" option.

That's my guess, too. You don't really need the "rest" option, you can use the bed mattress the same way you can use the floor: crawl on your belly or lay down on your back on it. But I was just wondering.

Yes I have the same issue. I build a 3 story twig building somewhere and could not put the bed on the right side! I could, but then the same like you the 'rest'option pop up doesen't apear. But when I did put the bed on the 'left' side anywhere in the building the magic happens pffff...Now I can rest asured next to my 3 boxes full of loot :)

I normally put my bed on the right side. After .8 I put it in the center of the room and can't rest on it. I've even destroyed it and rebuilt it. Same thing.

bottom bed and crafted chairs and benches won't have the rest button to it. only the primitive kind of bed will have a rest on it. :)

This is indeed bugged right now, we also have problems with sitting on benches and chairs. Working on fixing this, sorry for the inconvenience.
