Unfortunately no update today, since we're working on a large update for next week and we had our game moved to the new updated version of unreal engine and that will take some time to properly test and see if there are any new problems tied to the transition. This new version should bring a much more smoother experience for players. Thank you for your patience.

Go to store page. On the left side, click "follow"
Then when an update goes live, regardless of what game you are playing, you will get a notification, much like when a friend starts playing a game. it's really handy

That's actually quite an erroneous and ill-informed statement.

actually depends on developers. for some long time no update means they forgot about game, and for others it mean they have lot of things to add.

It`s disappointing. Especially for people who rented expensive servers at G-Portal which are empty now most of the time, because people have done everything one can do in the game, uncountable times meanwhile. I don´t know if it´s really worth to rent them any longer and pay too much for an empty server.

We don´t even know yet what will be in the next update, if players would come back because of the content of the next update or not, whenever it will be. If there is nothing to do in the game anymore, then there is nothing to do on the servers anymore. Guess G-Portal´s money cow is shrinking over the next days and weeks. Who pays for expensive but empy servers?

If you want to play without hackers, cheaters, griefers, terror kids, it always is, when there is something to do in the game. Another example, had to visit another server which was completely full first, to experience that rubberbanding/lag-PvP problem we never had on our not so heavy populated server. Another plus of an "own" server.

I agree with everything you say, i play on a private open server also eventho i'm usually the only one there.
Its hard to get your server filled with players when the game is so early in development because people are waiting for more game content.

Yeah, even me stopped playing SCUM now, and i was always saying: You have to make your own game out of it, play after your own rules(using only crafted stuff, not visiting bunkers ect)". But even that is all done now and i absolutely have no reason to start SCUM anymore. That made me start Green Hell now.

And how should we know that next friday there really will be an update, last week it sounded the same: Unfortunately no update THIS wweek. Which made everybody think that there will be an update the next friday, that is today. Now: Unfortunately no update THIS week... How should we know that no other problems occure and updates are delayed again next friday. Not the best situation for people who pay for servers that slowly die.

Not knowing the unforseen problems is part of EA isnt it ? for players and devs.

Doesn´t make people happier, to pay too much for dying servers. And reminds me a bit to all the other early access survival game tries before, which often ended just a cheap try at the end. Not saying that SCUM will end like this(it doesn´t feel like this yet), but it reminds one to all the failures and wasted money before, not very good memories.

No offence but renting a server so quickly ? I hope the contract you agreed to isnt very long.
Eventually they will release the game files and you can host your own for free.

Buddy rented it, i didn´t want to throw money at G-Portal xD And i believe he only pays month by month, not forced to pay for half a year or similiar, fortunately.

He just did it because we learned years ago that renting an own server is a must for nearly every game out there, if you don´t want to be confronted with all the hacker, griefer, exploiter, terror kid stuff and want to play a game with trustworthy people only, which don´t have the life goal to destroy everybody else fun.

Been smashed by hackers 7 times in 24 hours. Basically hackers warping around and killing everyone in the server. Game is basically unplayable in it's current exploited state

also mistaking the lag for teleporting.
