Report a translation problem
Did you manage to find a solution? I was about to begin the game and the exact same thing happens, and, as you, I saw that in Windows they found a solution, but no information on Mac+DS4 users... Maybe there are only two DS4 Mac Spec Ops players in the entire world haha
In the end, I just used external software to play the game. IIRC I think I used something called Joystick Mapper, mapped individual DS4 inputs to kb+m inputs, then proceeded to beat the game in one sitting :) so I didn't have to worry about setting it all up again.
