Automatically download the map in dedicated server
Hello Everyone!

I have a problem and I wonder if anyone here knows how to solve, already researched the topics old and have not found the answer to this problem.

I have a Dedicated Server in L4D, and sometimes install a new map that my friends do not have.

The problem is that when they try to connect to my server when we're playing a map that they do not, they get the following error:

L4D - Co-op - Normal
Map: deathcraft_01_town
Players: 1 (0 bots) / 4 humans
Build: 4023
Server Number: 2

Host_Error: CMapLoadHelper::Init, unable to open maps/deathcraft_01_town.bsp

When I created server Counter-Strike did not have that problem because when my friends tried to get into my server, the game itself had to download the map and other files automatically from the server to the client.

Anyone know how to solve this in L4D?

Regards to all!
Douglas Junior

ps: sorry for my bad English.

You solve it by having him download the map beforehand as L4D won't transfer them because they are simply TOO BIG (up to 1GB)

The maps do not exceed 200 Mb.

To install the map on the server I copied the file (. VPK) to the folder "addons", and the maps appear already to play, but I would like the client do the download of this map automatically try to connect to the server. Isso sempre funcionou no Counter-Strike.

I know that the client needs to download the map to install, but I wonder if there is a way to download happen automatically as is done in Couter-Strilke.

If someone can help me, thank you very much.
