No saving progress in single player?

So yesterday I went through most of Chapter 1, but today when I fired up the game just now, there is no "CONTINUE" option?

I do realize I could play any level in any chapter, but seriously, does this game not keep track of your progress???

Well you really can't "finish" this game as you were given the freedom of playing any level / chapter from the get-go.

The point of the game is to be come better at surviving and taking less damage.

That doesn't mean it couldn't have a single player campaign cause it wouldn't have taken much coding to piece all the levels together.

That's why your have 3 other AI teammates? I've been playing since player maps to train my skills and though sometimes AI teammates get in my way, they are pretty quick at rescuing me.

Each campaign takes anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour for the average player. At most, you might even take an hour and a half. Each campaign is relatively short, so finishing them shouldn't take very long.

The game does however save achievement progress, as well as put your stats online for you to see and compare to other players' statistics. You can see how you stack up against others, which I think is a pretty cool feature :D

If you're really hardcore, try getting gold medals on all the survival stages. I've owned the game on steam for about 4 years and haven't gotten all the medals yet XD

I think the Leaderboards only show scores / records of your Friends, no? I'm still very new to this game.

Yeah, you can only see worldwide achievements, but no names. You can only compare stats to friends and others who I believe aren't set to private as well.

Also, side note to OP, You *can* select chapters to pick up where you left off, but the credits won't reflect the last session. I.e., it'll only take into account your current play session.

Indeed, so I'm trying to remember which level I last finished playing in a particular chapter. I just wish Valve made a single player feature for this so I won't have to manually pick levels, anyway, minor complain.
