Oh, really? Because I have never once seen a legendary come from a chest. In fact, I've only seen a handful of half-decent guns come from chests.

I found a level 61 Slagga from a locker just a few days ago, and most recently a level 61 slagging Conference Call from a red chest. UVHM seems to have better drop rates for legendaries. Yes, I have screens of these.

So umm.. Take this into fact I just found a legendary class mod for mechro while my friend was in on ultimate vault hunter mode but thats not it true vault hunter I've found a legendary pistol in a locker at sanctuary... Also my first legendary came from a chest so I've found many MANY legendary's from chests other than just farming or killing baddies <3 just saying

I found quite a few legendaries in chests. I once found two legendary mecromancer mods in the same large chest in the top of scarletts lighthouse. It was just too bad that I play as Axton.

Ive done a lot of farming recently in thousand cuts and these 2 have appeared in chests others have arrived from legendary loot minions

I've found more Legendaries from enemies than chests, or even chests and vending machines combined. I've found two in vending machines I think? Possibly just one. And two, perhaps 3 from chests (one in the Terra chest, one in the chest at the end of the Eridium pipeline. Back when it was still red, it was a level 26 or 29 Bee, and my first Legendary). Oh, and I got a Pearl Stalker from another Red Chest (the one right after the Firehawk's den).

I've had about 8 or a dozen legendaries drop from enemies on the other hand. Though about half of those have been from The Warrior.

I'm not counting Terra mods BTW, because nobody should count those. If those were anybody's first legendaries, I feel sorry for you.

A LOT of really nice finds. I'm not trying to say that it seems like legendaries don't come out of chests at all, just that in my own experience your average bad guy has dropped much better loot than any chest I've ever opened.

I've bought two from a vending machine, Cradle (awful omg why) and Rolling Thunder (oh god yes I love this). I don't even remember how many I've found from enemies, but I know I completed my Siren's loadout with legendaries that I found from enemies. I need to start playing UVHM, but I've been leveling an Assassin with a friend and we've found at least 6 legendaries in like 15 levels or so, two of them were from loot midgets I believe. 0 were from chests.

In Mr. Torgue's dlc, I've found legendaries twice in chests, both in the same chest. During Tiny Tina's mission, when going around the arena circle looking for chocolate chip cookies etc., there's a hole in the floor with a little room under there. The chest there sometimes gives legendaries.

Just yesterday I had an Infinity come out of a chest when I took my mechro through the Tourge DLC on UVHM, but I also use one of those apps that tricks the game into thinking there are 3 other ppls playing with me when I play solo, so that might have been why... but I also got a Verec out of a chest way back when the game had only just come out, so...

Infinity is amazing.

I have that mod too, it's very handy. I almost never play the game without it. I love the extra challenge, but sometimes you really need the extra firepower of a friend.

Especially if you're trying to farm one of the bosses. w/o that mod, the way my Mechro is spec'd and equipped I can drop Terramorphos in under a minute, with the mod I get thankful that he kills me 'cause I'm prly out of ammo.

Just took this less than 15 minutes ago. It's one of the chests in the area just off from where you fight Bloodwing. Also picked up two decept rare items off LLMs inside the preserve on the same run.
