The old vault hunters are over 200 years old? (Spoiler alert)

I mean think about it, the game sais multiple times that the vault opens once every 200 years! Well in borderlands 1 they open a vault and in borderlands 2.... the vault gets opened? According to the information we have the is a 200 year difference. Also what kind of makeup does lilith use to hide those wrinkles? I got to get myself some.

1. In BL1, that was a completely different Vault.
2. They speeded up this Vault's opening by charging the key artificially with Eridium.

Yeah, Jack's plan involves using a siren and a ton of Eridium to speed up the recharge on the Vault Key.

For the record, no, Maya is stated to be incompatible with Eridium, unlike Lilith and Angel.
