Controllers input as wrong and double buttons(Not the 2 player issue)
I just got this installed last night and I immediately noticed an issue. My PS4 controller wasn't doing what it should be. Buttons seemed to be in the wrong place. I thought it might be my controller bindings, so I set them again. Same thing. I removed my desktop setups thinking they might be working at the same time and conflicting. Same thing. I also tried turning off the option to allow steam to remap buttons and tried my steam controller as well. Every time, same results. I deleted all of the HID devices in device manager and set everything up again from nothing since that was causing some other issue with Lego Avengers last week all of a sudden, but doing that again did nothing for this one.

So, I pulled up training mode and started hitting buttons to see what was going on and found it to be a bit interesting.

As you can see, the last few inputs on the controller were very slow and very deliberate to show what is happening. Pressing X, Y, B, A twice to show it is not a fluke or mistake or fat fingering the controller.

  • X should be Low Punch. I get Low Punch and High Kick.
  • Y should be High Punch. Oddly enough, it works properly.
  • B should be High Kick, I get High Kick AND Low Kick.
  • A should be Low Kick, I get Low Kick and Low Punch.

This only happens with this game. I started up UMvC3, SSF4, MKX, Injustice, Tekken 7, KoF XIV and neither of theme do this. Nothing else currently installed on my computer does this but this one game and I can't seem to find anyone postings of anyone else experiencing this.

Anyone have any ideas? The game appears to work perfectly fine otherwise. This make it a chore to get through menus and well... randomly using supers when you press a single button is annoying.

Decided to try remapping my PS4 controller to the default keyboard mappings. I added two buttons for the LP+HP and LK+HK and mapped those to triggers same as the default controller bindings. Deliberately used multiple presses for some buttons like Backspace mapped to the same button as HK and Enter/Return mapped to LK so everything functions exactly the way it was intended on a controller, even controlling menus normally.

While I consider this a small win, this only helps with one player. Can't play against anyone in the same room doing this. Has anyone else come across this issue and found a better fix? I've searched Reddit, steam discussions, and random other forums and it honestly seems like i'm the only one with this issue for some reason.
