Work Rosters
Has anybody come up with a good plan on how to use these? I set them up and still have shops constantly vacated.

Yes this is starting to ruin the game for me.

Employees constantly quitting and leaving post. I have even hired 3 vendors for each location. It is such a pain to manage the vendors the turn over rate is ridiculous.

When I setup a work roster it usually covers 5 rides, 1 staff building, 1 ATM, 2 rest rooms, 1 first aid, 2 drink stands, 1 or 2 resteraunts, and a gift shop. I then assigned one janitor, one mechanic, one security guard and one entertainer to each work roster. They pretty much stay in their assigned areas.

Vendors are a little different. I assign them to a preferred shop instead amd then assign two or three relief vendors to each work area. Vendors tend to leave their preferred shop assignment to cover shops that have been unmanned for too long. Having relief vendors assined to a work roster is the key. It's not a perfect system but it works pretty well.

Turnover rates are due to worker unhappiness. Training the vendors and staff to expert levels, raising their pay as their experience gets higher, and having a nearby staff room with a social club perk and sufficient capacity will keep them from getting unhappy and quitting.

Once my park is fully developed I might hire a janitor or mechanic kept to free roaming the park to cover any areas I may have overlooked and act as relief staff members, I usually end up with 4 janitors, 4 mechanics, 3 security guards, 3 entertainers and about 20 vendors with 3 work rosters, 13 rides and everybody happy,

P.S. Call ne a male chavenist pig since all my entertainers usually end up being females.

I was going to try to keep the vendors to a specific shop and also include a work area with extra vendors. I'm going to try this now.

Janitors on the other hand: Even if I assign them to a work roster they tend to drift away to other areas of the park.

I typically set up rosters so 3-4 vendors will cover 2 stalls and they don't go to other stalls except to the ones they're assigned. When I have them all unnassigned they end up taking too long to walk around the park and it's more effecient having them assigned to specific stalls that are near each other.

I don't really have a problem with janitors though, they stick to their area I assign them to. Could it be because they're traveling to staff rooms? They'll work along the way which slows them down so I stick staff rooms within the area they're supposed to be in.

Cereal: I get your point. I might be making my work area too big. I will try to cut down on them and see how that works. You just end up with soooo many work rosters they become unmanageable.

Try to consolidate multiple staff types into zones instead of having rosters for everything. I usually do something like, "West Wing", "North Wing", "Entrance Plaza", "Fairytale Zone", etc. with janitors, venders, security and mechanics all sharing those rosters together.
