Tropico 6 freeze in loading scene.
When I try to create a new game, the loading screen begins and when completing the bar nothing happens, it stays frozen.

The specs of my PC are these:
OS: Arch Linux
KERNEL: 5.4.6-arch1-1
CPU: Intel Pentium G4560 @ 3.50GHz
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050GPU
DRIVER: NVIDIA 440.44
RAM: 8 GB

Silly question maybe... but is there a "Press any button to continue" - phrase spawning under the progess bar? The game won't start on its own.

if you aren't fullscreen you may not see the start button, that happened to me. also if i move my mouse to another monitor while starting the game and press a button it will hang up.

No, only the bar is completed. No message comes out or at least I don't see it.

The same problem.
OS: Windows 10 1903
CPU: Intel Pentium G3460 @ 3.50GHz
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050Ti
DRIVER: NVIDIA 441.66
RAM: 16 GB
I see the loading bar and messages that changes in the left cornet but nothing more.

The click any key to skip does not start the game. You have to select start new game.

I cannot understand why there has not been a fix for the game yet. As far as I am concerned Steam should suspend all sales of Tropico 6 until such time a fix is available. I bought Tropico 6 June first. The problem is, every time you try to start the game after trying different suggestions that may help, you are marked has having played the game which is wrong. How can you be marked as playing the game when it freezes when you click on new game.

Hello!
Same problem - game freeze on intro movie (i see a ventilator), but music go on. If i hit any button next screen (start new game, etc) appear, but freeze already.
AMD Ryzen 5 1600 6-core 3.2 Ghz
16 Gb RAM
DX11
Windows 7 x64
Radeon R9 200

Solved: Switch language to English (I`m Russian) - no freeze, when switch back to Russian - also no freeze.
