but during 50 years i can't see any quests
Improving relations does not work.
Importing does not speed anything up unless it is required.
You have to complete the task for each country.
Middle East - destroy all oil producing buildings when asked.
China - import cars when asked.
US - import anything when asked.
Russia - give them a cash bribe when asked.
EU - remove all military edicts when asked.

Same issue here I did all the quests when asked. The game is not progessing. I am plaiyn on hard and its a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ pathetic struggle these waves destoy buildings all the time. Buildings are in this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ up mode where they have the attack sign and taken like 1 demage but are not operational. I have no space to build anymore, I build on the entire map.
The quest fromt he EU to remove all military edicts never came up, I do not this the russia quest either but the US import quest I did complete.
This seems to be bugged. I by now have like 20 stage distractions and get plenty of swiss money to buy up all the stuff from the broker but its not leading anywhere.
I also have near 0 relations with all other superpowers and do not know how to possibly impove that as they are in constant war with me and no matter of I buy a bunch of relation boosts from teh broker its gets down very fast. All trade routes are pretty much gone so I want protectionism and just let the game auto sell stuff for me.
In short:
You can ONLY get new missions, while NOBODY invades you. So you have to kill all the troops of the invading countrys at once. Then you will get the missions to befriend the other countries/get into conflict with more.
For that i prebuild an atombomb and had 16 tanks + 100 infantries fully upped and send them all on "hunt invaders" mode.
On hard the first problem is building up the bomb while being in confilct with 4 other countries.
In my first run i fought for about 50 years againt 4 countries. Used ~600 turrets to defend (turrets are useless) and was never able to kill all invaders ("get out of combat"). Every time I did try to build up a atom bomb (speedbuilding nuclear program -> upgrade + bomb) after a few seconds a guerilla-fighter poked it with its thumb. Since damaged buildings are not repairable during invasions, the buildung was doomed for ~2 years until it burned down. Since you cannot have 2 atom programs and cannot tear down damaged buildings, you are also doomed to wait until it burned down to have another try.
On second try i pretty much had an island consisting only of turrets (yeah i know, stupid idea), prebuild an atombomb and was not able to kill all invaders while being in conflict with all 5 factions for around 70 years.
Third Try
-> Build everything upfront
(right before accepcting sepcific export-oil-contract to crash oil market):
- used all oil platform spots
- build embassy (to kick americans later)
- build Cyber-OP-Center (to steal wonder of the world)
- builded 50 barracks/caserns (complete upgrading + activate hunting mode)
- build 8 military basis (complete upgrading + activate hunting mode)
- destory both fisher-buildings to build 2 docks (to import americans oil later as fast as
possible)
- build a working vehicle-industry (export to china needed later)
- build the needed economy (the following worked for me):
- 4 weapon factorys
- 1 fashion
- 1 jewelry
- 1 shipyard (with alu only)
- 1 pharma
A general tip:
"intimidate your neighbors" is ridiculously OP.
Spam it from the first second on every game to be able to build a big economy upfront without carrying about your people.
Good luck.
OK then my sabotage mission (or that thing that keeps them from invading) was actually the trigger for me. I guess it was luck that it was the faction that was going to invade me next because like I said I was near zero relation with all factions but the mission makes it that way on purpose. Could have spend days without knowing, guess even this mission is not hard of you actually know what to do.
I did not atom bomb or anything to even try to get to good terms with any faction, all were at war with me but somehow this one mission triggered it and then you get into good terms with them just by following the missions.
Crappy mission design, because there is no active quest telling you anything about this unlike EVERY other mission on the game you always have a quest that tells you exactly what to do to progress.
Overall I think for the fact that the game was pretty flawed I got crazy addicted and played enough missions to unlock the very last mission. Took me quite some time to figure out that massive plantations and production and couple of banks on slush funds get you through everything fast. I was strugging with income for a long time (on hard), trying to build a bunch of offices. Never really had a actually working tourism economy and the missions requiring it I just made what I had to but did most money with regular exports. Also when you produce a lot of goods its becomes annoying to fill in the export routes to I just went for protectivism and find out that it actually seems to make the same or even more money without you to do anything.
Ended up shutting of auto pause on popups and popups off, some still pop up and in fact kick you out of what you are doing currently, bad design. Pretty much played that game on 4x speed from very early on and all this demands thrown at you it just gets annoying. even on 4x speed missions can take very long so I
Its neither chill like a Anno, not really challenging like Frostpunk. With mod support this game could be tweaked to be more like one of them and with some mechanics changed it could actually be a lot better. The "Challenge" is just that you are more or less blind and have no detailed info screens of what exactly is best to do next but overall its just a boring working off some demands that are generally easy to do but just time consuming.
Anyway not want to ♥♥♥♥ on the game, its quite good. I just see potential for more.
Nice work Red.
Get metro stations everywhere once you have the money. For power I just added two solar plants and as many 80+ efficiency windmills as possible by the end. I actually ran out of space everywhere other than the long arm that goes toward the uranium which I ignored completely.
Eventually had three tunnels.
Build lots of tanks and military boost buildings. Basically all of them. In the late game when the war goes on I had so much money I could put lots of towers in clusters in problem areas as they wait for the troops.
