Rookie Mode questions
I've owned this game since it was released on steam, and i'm still a rookie apparently. I played off and on throughout the updates, and I used to be able to turn it off in options but now I don't...

Becoming a rookie again ?
Hi guys,

My problem is pretty simple. I used to play on a rookie server because that's basically the only one with people in it and a decent ping (<100 ms).
Now I'm not a rookie anymore
and the game tells me I canno't play on this server.
The only other half-crowded server is also a rookie one and sometimes, but sometimes only, there're players on a normal server.

Is there a way to reset...
Hi, where do you play from? The only way to reset yourself to rookie status is a new hive account which would require a new steam account....

Unranked Rookie Servers?
Can this be set up? Please?

I'm afraid to even play anymore cause I know this game will be unplayable the moment I lose my rookie status....
Also, there is actually the server you need.

Green Rookie the obvious
Already played this for 5 hours and i still have the rookie status. I heard it goes away after 4. Herp a derp i've been playing NS2 since it came out and left it when the devs kinda left
it for subnautica. Now i come back and is blasted by vet ♥♥♥♥ (well, i am one too) everywhere hollering the "its a rookie, lookout" all over the place. Fix this problem please. Everyone else says theres an option...

Rookie Friendly Server
I doubt it, this game is too old to have only new players anywhere, maybe try waiting for a big sale or free weekend, or look for a rookie only server if those exist....
. (usually stacking teams) - Unfortunately they won't, because they have too much fun roflstomping helpless rookies into the dirt.

@OP Unfortunately while there are technically "rookie friendly[/i]" servers (the green ones) there aren't really any servers where rookies can actually play in a nice environment and learn the game without being stomped into the dirt repeatedly. All you can really do...

ROOKIE ONLY SERVER
DFA is hosting a server named 'ROOKIES PLAY HERE' and we are going to do our best to moderate it so that new players can play against other new players while being coached by vets.

How do i not become a rookie?...
Turn off rookie mode in options....
I believe the green rookie status goes away after 4 hours of gameplay....

I am still a Rookie but can't join the rookie server!?
I am Still very new to this game and struggle to be of use (mainly my aim and Posistioning) but i have my moments but i suddenly can't join the Rookie only servers I have less then 80hrs in the game
in team rank most of the time but that is only on the Rookie servers i am still a newb let me play with my fellow newbs! this is very derpessing this is one of the few games that translate my sh/ty internet...
on the Rookie servers he was Borderline Aimboting good (having bad internet and Not knowing the full extent of what you can do in this game i looked at his steam he had over 450 hrs in NS but was still able
to play on the rookie server!?

I accept dieing i just hate instant dieing and Dieing to things or ways that do not seam remotly Ligit

I'll watch the Tutorials as you said doubt it will help me :|...

rookie only servers are meant for new players to take their first steps and get used to the game withou having to face off against regular players.

With 50+ hours you are certainly
is and that there is beyond rookie only no kind of skill divisions like in many other more recently published games.

That can cause the best and worst players to end up at the very same server causing both to not really...

NS2 fandom not appriciating rookies?
experienced player tells you to do so, quite ironic

Get kicked or ejected as a commander on a freaking rookie server within >2 minutes< because im to slow for them, get told to play more as a ingame soldier...

How do you figure? The "problems" are not exclusive to rookie only servers
... If anything they're far far worse on "normal" servers than they are on rookie only...

You can't... welcome to the "real" NS2

Another victim of the "rookie only" concept....
if you don't play for a long time you become a rookie again, at least that's what happened to me....
