Menu broken

When i start the game i get some sort of optimization notification and when i click "Optimize" nothing happens and when i click "Skip" and try click "Play" after that the screen just goes blank, only the background is visible but no text on the screen or anything and then i'm stuck on that screen and have to tab-out and shut the game down from ctrl+alt+del. Anyone else experiencing this?

FIX:

1) Delete these files:

\Steam\steamapps\common\Natural Selection 2\system\lua

\Steam\steamapps\common\Natural Selection 2\ns2\shaders

\Steam\steamapps\common\Natural Selection 2\ns2\lua

\Steam\steamapps\common\Natural Selection 2\core\shaders

\Steam\steamapps\common\Natural Selection 2\core\lua

%AppData%\Roaming\Natural Selection 2

2) Validate Steam Cache Files

3) In %AppData%\Roaming\Natural Selection 2\, open system_options.xml with Notepad. Set anti-aliasing to FALSE and change the resolution to whatever your monitor can display.

You may need to start and exit NS2 once for the last folder to recreate itself.

This fixed it for me.

hit the windows key, type %appdata% and press enter.
