Us badge guys gotta stick together!

Yep. Too many stack-only servers

Is that all you got? I've seen much worse :/
Part of it is bad teamwork. Teams made of equally skilled players, but where one has a team that simply cannot work together will end up with lopsided K/D. I've seen games where a team with significantly less skill but far better team work win games over teams with far superior skilled solo players.

Badges don't mean anything concrete.. Come on.
Also, new players feel more comfortable with playing marines.

Fair enough, but you can't pretend there aren't issues with stacking sometimes. I think people overplay it, granted, but you get some terrible games.

Stacking has always been an NS tradition. Sorry :sadpanda:

Stacking is in every game, and badges don't always represent the good players.
I have a badge, although after 300-some hours I can't play anything good but gorge and alien commander :gorge:

The huge lack of players playing the game is a sign of the game is going down hill.

Next build 265 or future we need a Match making system
like DOTA2

Not enough players for a matchmaking system. All you can do is convince people of the benefits of shuffling, randoming, sorting by ELO, or whatever.

NS2 will be like NS1 where there are fewer and fewer servers and only the better players remain. Natural Selection within Natural Selection LOL

Ns2 is interesting in away it doesnt fail because it's bad, it's awesome game but it still fails because you just simply dont have 5hours to find a good game.

Most games fail because they suck, but everyone knows ns2 is an awesome game it's just the fact it has all the problems of team based fps games and rts games combined.

The reason why some fps games are popular is the fact that they are not annoying. So people play because they are not annoying rather than the fact how rewarding and challenging it can be in the end.

But I mean it's still awesome game and everyone knows that, but it's just impossible to play it in your free time because it just aint worth it even tho it's a brilliant game.

I quit playing NS2 (fan of ns1) ages ago...
My observations are:

There needs to be more fun injected into the game/mechanics, game is too boring IMO.

There seems to be less viable strategies and the game doesn't do a good enough job at encouraging team-play, all the friends i've introduced to this get bitter after a handful of games - then uninstall. Game punishes too hard and expects too much from the average player.

Playing aliens can be infuriating or almost impossible for some more casual players.

Bottom line they need to make it more fun/cool and more accessible or it wont gain any more interest.

Maybe if they took a thing from battlefield and add marine classes.
-Ammo dropper
Stuff like that maybe? Not sure how else you can encourage teamplay
