Do you have any mods? The tricky thing with workshop mods for this game is that you can't be sure if it's the proper version of the current version of natural selection. If you have any mods try deleting all of them (Which worked for me when I got this error) I then tryed slowly adding one by one so I could see which ones where krud cow.

game cache verified, didn't help

I didn't subscribe to any mods before and had this error. Now I subscribed to MvM. Ingame in mods menu none are active. Do I need to remove them from disk? Where are they located then?

Try joining a server without a server mod and see if you still have this issue.

I am guessing you are running 32 bit OS?

In any case, you will not receive technical support here in these forums. Like the pinned thread says, please visit our technical support forums on our official website for solutions and help.

yes, windows xp sp3 32 bit

It's a pity.
I wasn't looking for tech assist. Just reported a bug. It's up to developers what to do with it.
Also, I'm a bit lazy right now reading some faqs and manuals :p thanks anyway

It's actually not on our hands to fix, as it is related to mods doing their own thing. (pre caching stuff etc) So there's not much we can do about it..

I suggest unsubscribing from all mods through steam workshop (they are the most common cause of issues right now) and then do the following:

Thank you IronHorse. I started to get this error when trying to join some servers so I had to use your tips
Delete these folders: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Natural Selection 2\core\lua C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Natural Selection 2\ns2\lua Verify game cache

Also, be sure to Uninstall Comodo anti virus, if you have it. This week it has been destroying ns2 for others.

I've got this error after cleaning up all this stuff when I joined community servers:
Also got this error on one official server. But official work fine most of the time

Some servers just upload mods to me, idk is it good or bad:

What error? I see no error in that screenshot.

Feel free to post the logs (or your techsupport.exe zip file) in the technical support forums so i can help you and others by reading whatever errors you are having.

I'm talking about "Your files do not match the server's" error, which I get when I try to join that server.
Thank you IronHorse, but I'm not ready for further investigation right now.
