I changed my mind, this game is bad
Just google Natural Selection 2 - LUA consistency bypass. Any script kiddy can buy this game and start cheating with no way of anyone else knowing. No vac ban, no server ban, no report method. You guys like that ♥♥♥♥? People have been doing it for years. Get a clue, not every player is legit. Get a grip UWE and do something about this.

You switching engines to use LUA was a horrible choice. It took you how many years just to figure out you needed to precompile your assets. I get you are good at art but that it ABOUT IT.

Have fun playing against marines who have HiveVision. lols And bullets set to do twice as much damage as yours. lol Pretty much any modification is possible with this.

UWE abandoned the engine over a year ago, the CDT took over the engine and the game

Right well they havn't addressed this, and since it's lua and the files are open I doubt this can even be fixed. Uninstalled.

Most of the 'available' NS2 hacks are detected by VAC now, after being submitted by community members. Just because lua is 'open' doesnt mean VAC can't detect hacks used by people.

If it´s really so easy to hack in NS2, why I´ve never seen any hacker?

Yeah I've never seen a hacker in this game.

open standards are a sure fire way to have LESS bugs and thus higher security == less hackers. use your ♥♥♥♥♥ brains!

I have close to 900 hours logged, only seen 1 cheater.

Are you able to instantly sense if someone is hacking or not? How are you so sure you have never met a hacker?

Basically, the only way to get 40% legitimately is by shooting gorges
dePARA 5 Dec, 2015 @ 5:01pm
Are we talking about a marine with 40% after a 20 min game here or an alienplayer with 40%

40% is possible (many div1 players didnt end below 30%) and 40% as alien is pretty bad.

Anyone who believes there are no hackers in NS2 is delusional.

I can think of at least 6-8 hackers who play NS2 regularly and have people believing that "they're just skilled" There's no point in even trying to point out their hacks though, because people will just stupidly point to their kdr or their accuracy and say "see not a hacker" as if kdr and accuracy were ANY sort of indicator. (note: aimbots can be set so they don't go above a certain accuracy percentage)

The existence of cheaters doesn't make NS2 a "bad" game though. Not in any way. If you want to see what a "bad" game is, then just look at any of the matchmaking based CoD's. Talk about being open to cheaters...

Its a online game, im sure you would have cheaters in online-solitaire also.
Noone said, there are no cheaters in NS2.
I met around 5 in my 4 years of playing.

Well, compared to other games this is basicly nothing.

I played Warface for a short time and after one week i reached the point there where i was "the hacker". From this point people insulted me in EVERY ♥♥♥♥♥ round.
This game has no 1st person spec, so you cant check players by yourself and this might be one reason.
But from my point of view, 80% of the players there are so ♥♥♥♥♥ bad they should stop playing shooters right away.
And Warface is a super simple easy learn game.

The post opener has 80hrs in NS2 and he played against competitive players with 2000hrs and more for sure.
These comp players are far far far beyon a 80hrs pub player when it comes to aim, positioning, mapwarenes and gamesense.
And cause the small playerbase its like you play against NIP-Friberg in CS:Go.
From the casual perspective Friberg (one of the best CS:go players) might be a cheater but he isnt.

If you own CS:Go try this with the same settings from the video and you become an idea of how much better these kind of players are.
I was shocked after i tried it by myself:

I'm kinda interested to know who the 6-8 are that you have in mind. Not to prove you wrong, or scream and shout about it, but to see if they are familiar names or ask around if they aren't.

But of course, no naming and shaming...
