Notable SKSE related mods you need which have AE support.
- Addresss Library for SKSE plugins
- PapyrusUtil SE - Modders Scripting Utility Functions
- SSE Engine Fixes by aers
Optional :
- Encounter Zones Unlocked
- I'm Walking Here
(I actually dont know the name it was on reddit but i cant find it with google or bing. It might be meh321's mod and that uses .net script framework not skse.)
Edit 3: There appears to be a AE version of the first person mod as well so i guess its edging close to everything updated. Personally im staying on downgrade until i have a problem since im not scared of reinstalling 25 mods.
AE update 1.6+ I think: Is free, new exe, originally broke skse etc made some creation club content for free
AE: same but has every piece of creation club content released has same level of compatibility unless a mod were to somehow conflict with piece of cc content.
SE: 1.5.97.0 and lower
Downgrades can be exe only or can be all content meaning you keep the free CC content or get rid of it.
Matter of fact mod authors have been coming out with some new mods only compatible with the latest version of the game and when that has happened some people that are still holdouts have begged for an older version. But it's a sure sign 1.6.xxx is the future.
Not only that but I ran over 800 mods in addition to the full Anniversary DLC and the game ran smooth with zero crashes.
Just to give you a small idea here's a load order order guide for 1.6.353
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2636368499
btw this^ guide was finished this past December so mods have been good to go for a long while now.
I am also working on a new guide for 1.6.353 right now that is over 650 mods. I have finished it but as usual it is now in the final testing phase and all indications so far are extremely stable. Should be ready to be published in a few weeks.
Here's my March 20th 2022 Steam Review for the Anniversary DLC
Skyrim SE 1.6.353 is running very stable with the new compiler. review here
There is zero need to downgrade your game at this point and just like Oldrim has almost faded away the same will eventually be true for 1.5.97
