Game doesn't launch
What the hell... I've uninstalled vanilla Skyrim, I've removed all files from PC, I've tried to reinstall, I've rebooted and checked all drivers... Nothing helps. It just won't launch. 'Preparing for launching the game' steam popup blinks, and nothing happens..

Steam f**ked up and broke SKE launcher. Nothing like forcing you to use the new game - unprovrn as it is.

The only way I can get SKSE to run properly is to take Steam offline - CLUE THERE FOLKS!!!

The game will then start but now its suddenly rediscovered ILS! NOT HAPPY.

Figured it out for me. Close Steam, Skyrim SE runs. The problem seems to be the launcher. If I have Steam running and run the main executable manually, it runs. If I run the launcher, it blinks and stops. Close Steam and run the launcher, everything's great.

OK, so, it's a bit more complicated than I initially thought. If I just run the game without the launcher first, it doesn't build a nice INI file and the game starts in windowed mode. So, here are the steps I used:

- Close Steam (going offline didn't work for me, I had to close Steam completely).
- Run the Launcher manually and make the appropriate graphics choices.
- Choose "Play" from the launcher once you have made your graphics selections.
- **This caused Steam to launch again and it seemed as though nothing happened.
- Manually launch Skyrim SE *without using the launcher*.
- Game should now run, with the settings chosen in the launcher, even if Steam is running, however I was NOT able to launch it using Steam; I had to launch directly from the SkyrimSE.exe file (or from a shortcut).
