As proof, I excel in Restoration, Archery, and Two-Handed.
How am I supposed to give you my opinion if you don't want to me to tell you? There's no such thing as an optimal class in this game, just play it in the way that is the most fun for you. The only thing you should avoid is spreading yourself too thin at first. Focus on one area for awhile rather trying to do everything at once. Once you have a few levels under your belt, then you can add more abilities.
Yes I understand what you mean, but by adding that restriction you've made it impossible for anyone to really answer you. So your whole thread becomes pointless.
Is not supposed to tell you that you should not answer with your opinion, but rather asking the reader to not give me the "It is based on the kind of gameplay you like the most" answer.
You can also play as some death knight, focus on heavy armor, can with a 2-hander or with shield, and you can combine it with Conjure magic that can "raise the dead" that will fight on your side.
But by all means, don't be afraid to just try some things out :)
No there aren't. There are posts by people mentioning what kinds of tactics you can use in the game. Which is a totally different thing than what you were originally asking for.
