Fix for bad tree pop in?
Skip to 19seconds in the video

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xdzMbT0VYmA&feature=youtu.be

I have the bigger trees mod and the HQ Tree Bark mod. I'll be honest. I have no idea what I'm really doing.

I set some ini settings that I read online hoping it would fix it but it didn't appear to help.

Here are what I changed the ini settings to.

uLargeRefLODGridSize=21

uiMaxSkinnedTreesToRender=120

fTreesMidLODSwitchDist=14999998.5

fMeshLODLevel2FadeTreeDistance=4096

fMeshLODLevel1FadeTreeDistance=5688

As addtional info all the vanilla settings are on ultra.

Go to your textures/terrain/tamriel/trees in your game folder
Is there a file called tamrieltreelod.dds?

Sorry for the late reply, can you try and move that file onto your desktop or something? But don't delete it, after that go back into your game and see if anything has changed?

Taking it out fixes the problem. I checked the folder afterwards and it didn't generate a new file as I had anticipated. I wonder if the previous file was corrupted or what. How strange.

Thanks a ton though Dark Anima. I'm guessing I should just leave the file out of that folder?

I only figured it out today because I had a very similar problem with my lods looking wacky, so I did some research and someone said to delete it. I played it safe and just moved it to desktop, and upon returning to my game, it fixed it. So I assume it's safe to delete but yeah, up to you, I'm keeping mine tucked in case I need it again (which I doubt).

And no worries, glad it worked for you too
