- Does the missle will follow the track automatically, or just go straight?
- Can hit someone? if yes, it stun a player? (unable to control your kart for a few seconds)
- For how much time the missle can stay on the track?
- Can be used Backwards?
- It does emit any sound?
- Is there a way to avoid being hit?
- The missile will follow the track.
- After using all of its lighting attacks it will hit the nearest player like a normal bazooka, stunning them.
- ^
- No, the missile cannot be fired backwards.
- Currently, no. But it will have sound effects later on.
- If you are really far away the missile will not hit you and you can avoid the missile by using a Shield.
Please note, that these are prototypes that we really enjoyed creating and their final design may change :)
Great questions!
Feel free to post your own suggestions and opinions on our prototype weapons.
As we said, these are prototypes which will probably be changed in some way or another. Time will tell which weapons will be present in Early Access and/or in Final release.
We have a lot of ideas, but we take your word very seriously, so do not hesitate to post anything you might consider useful or something you would want in The Karters.
I've also had a look at the other weapons on your YouTube channel, and I think that the Hammer and the Tesla Rocket are just a bit too brightly coloured.
Also, I have a suggestion in regards to animations: I think it would look a bit better if the smaller characters' arms and upper bodies would tremble when picking up large weapons.
But otherwise, good stuff.
Good suggestions regarding the design and animations. Right now we are focused on bringing the weapons and we will try to adjust the animations later on. As far as the Hammer and Tesla being too bright - are you sure? In our studio they are pretty light, but they fit the world of The Karters. However, if need be we might adjust the brightness level :)
Thanks for your feedback!
Also, we are happy of how the Portal has been received on Twitter - 93 likes! Thank you!
For those who hadn't seen our little time jump: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=726878873
What do you think, do you see any additional uses during a race?
Exactly, the portal will teleport you a medium distance so you can snatch that win or avoid a projectile!
Thanks! We are pleased with our weapons. And now we added the Burning Oil weapon, check it out!

Does the portal last for the rest of the race, or is it for a single use only?
Also, I like the Burning Oil.
When you enter the fire the kart will be slowed for a short while. It's a good weapon when you are leading as other players will have to watch out and dodge the line of fire.
Unclekrusty,
In normal racing modes the portal will stay for a few seconds, then disappear - so one use only. As for Battle Arena, we are considering that the portal would throw a player up in the air, though it is an early concept ;)
