Different companions effect as an emissary

Is there any difference between companions in being emissaryies? The game states that wrong emissary might anger the recieving party, so I should choose wisely. But I see no difference in effect of sending different companions with comparable amount of persuasion (4, 5, 6) to the same kingdome.

Supposedly, the perfect emissary has Persuasion 10 and is noble born. I've had such a companion in exactly one game of mine, and it was a modded game, where Intelligence based companions leveled extremely fast, due to their ability to chain cast fireballs and lightning bolts.

I have to admit, she performed very well in recruiting lords. As for making peace with enemy kingdoms, I did not do that, so I do not know whether it helps.
